Mangalore: Kota Srinivas Poojary in City, says Decision on Made Snana Soon

Mangalore, Jul 17: Kota Srinivas Poojary, the lone face from the twin cities of Mangalore and Udupi in the new Shettar government, visited the city on Tuesday July 17 for the first time after becoming the minister for muzrai.
Poojary was given a grand welcome by his party leaders and workers. A felicitation ceremony was organized in the BJP office in the city.
Addressing the gathering, Poojary spoke on the controversy surrounding 'Made Snana' and said that the government will soon announce a decision on this taking into consideration the opinions and sentiments of the communities and people involved. He also said that he would personally take steps in the matter.
He also said that cleanliness in temples across the state will be given priority, and that the government has already sanctioned funds in this regard.
He also said that being a minister now, he will go to villages and reach out to the people to address their problems. "I will do my best to solve the problems of my people," he said.
He also pledged to complete projects that were initiated by the late Dr V S Acharya.
Newly-elected legislative council member K Monappa Bhandary and Kota Srinivas Poojary were felicitated on the occasion.
Among those present were MLC Ganesh Karnik, legislative assembly deputy speaker Yogish Bhat, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and other local BJP leaders.
Kota Srinivas Poojary also visited Kadri Temple accompanied by his supporters and offered prayers.
