Mangalore: 'Goondagiri' in Jeppinamogeru: Locals Approach Police

Mangalore, Jul 18:
The residents of Jeppinamogeru on Wednesday July 18 sought the support of city police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh in dealing with the ‘goondagiri’ of  two locals - Satish Kumar, Bhavani Shankar and his aides.

A group submitted an appeal to Seemanth Kumar Singh at his office on Wednesday. They also attached a copy of signatures by the locals.

The appeal alleged Satish Kumar's direct involvement in issues causing communal disharmony and fights. In addition, it stated that he was jailed for stealing the government telephone pole and selling it to the scrap shop.

It also alleged that he was involved in petty fights with the innocent people in the city and was caught breaking into one of the house's belonging to a woman.

The appeal also alleged Bhavani Shankar's role in the murder of Srinivas Bajal and Sullia Kurunji Venkataraman Gowda (KVJ) College manager. He along with his four aides would pass time sitting near the entrance of the temple in Jeppinamogeru and indulge in eve teasing, the appeal further stated.

Moreover, he reportedly threatened those who lodged complaint against him to the police.

Annoyed by these growing problems, the locals along with J Nagendra Kumar, corporator submitted an appeal to the police urging immediate action against the duo.

Speaking to daijiworld, Usha Shetty, a resident of Jeppinamogeru said that she and her neighbours were frustrated with Satish Kumar. The locals, in a fit of anger told the police commissioner that if the police do not take action, they will be forced to take law into their hands. They appealed the commissioner to give both Bhavani Shankar and Satish Kumar severe punishment so that they become incapable of troubling anyone again.

There is a Global fight for terrorism. I respect the courage and unity among those people who have come forward. They are fed up and frustruated by the behaviors and attitudes of those criminals.

They want to create terror and fear among people. They must be stopped now. People respect policemen and their uniforms to protect them. Citizens pay taxes to serve and provide basic needs. When proper action is taken against these criminals right in time, then they must think that there is no future for such criminal activities in our society. When the citizens take action against such criminals, politicians will think twice before getting involved in such kind of persons. Democracry is of the people, by the people, and for the people. When citizens join their hands and are ready to fight crime, there will not be a terrorism.

    @Joseph F Gonsalves,Bannur,Puttur/Mangalore
Dear Gonsalves,You say We "Christians specially myself love every humans of this planet errth and when I love every human the question of hatredness doesn't arise"(Thanks for self certification, there are many such in Mangalore)
How these statements are on record.
"Caste system is strongest in Christians in South India and weaker among urban Protestant Congregations in North India. This is due to the fact that in South India whole castes converted en masse to the religion, leaving members of different castes to compete in ways parallel to Hindus of the Indian caste system. There are seperate seats, seperate communion cups, seperate burriel grounds, seperate churches for lower castes especially in the RC churches.RC churches in India are mostly controlled by upper caste priests and nuns.Prsently in India more that 70% of catholics are dalits but higher caste catholics 30% control 90% of the Catholic churches adminstrative jobs.Out of 156 Ctholic Bishops only 6 are from lower castes"
When you say you and mean dont discriminate why is the discrimination among you people only?Forget about other castes, why this Kolevery D among you people?Anything to say about your crockdile tears for others?

    Dears Mr/Mrs/Miss
    1) nagesh nayak, banaglore
    2) RR, Mangalore
    3) Dinesh Poojary, Kundapura/Bengaluru,
    Accept the truth.
Why was this much communal hatredness in the twin districts?! Was it before 5 years?
Read your own comments of the past and see how much hatredness you have spewed against Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs and lower caste Hindus.

I have leaflets in my house when we were not in our house these were dropped from the down side of the door. These communal and fundamentals are teaching to their own children to hate Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, and lower castes.

SHOW ME ONE CHRISTIAN WHO HAS ATTACKED A MOSQUE, A TEMPLE, A GURUDWARA IN KARNATAKA, INDIA.

We Christians and specially myself, love every humans of this planet earth and when I love every human the question of hatredness against anybody doesn't arise.
Yes. Fundamentals never accept the truth.

Police/Goonda/Politician nexus makes life difficult for the people of Coastal K'taka.
We need upright Police officials like Mr.Valentine D'souza who hail from our local region.
People must come out in unity to protest protection of criminal by Police/Politician nexus, and oppose police inaction in such cases.
Invisible hand of communal parties cannot be denied behind the rising menace of goondagiri in the region.

The main question - will police take action on them? for goondagiri there is a punishment like catch and Tadipaar. Let us wait n see before both take any serious crimes. I appreciate people of Jappinamogeru for unity against Goondas.
