Indeed this is a great event in the life and history of The Bethany order.

Bethany sisters have provided wonderful services to the people in general. This order which started in a small way some decades ago has made rapid strides in the field of education. Great people have received education at the hands of the Bethany Sisters.

The Founder Rev. Monsignor Raymond Mascarenhas who planted the seed of this great order who has received his Heavenly reward - I am sure he did not realize then that the congregation would grow to the present dimensions. This great man hailed from the illustrious Mascarnehas Family of Falnir. My wife Irene and I (Joe Gonsalves) were privileged to have have our nuptials blessed by him he being a relative of my wife. Monsignor Mascarenhas' case has been taken up beatification and we look forward to his canonization.

May this great order of Bethany sisters grow.
