Mangalore, Jul 27: The city on Thursday July 26 was witness to a not-so-common sight as scores of men and women in uniforms marched from one corner of the city to another.

The uniformed personnel were part of the Rapid Action Force (RAF), and were in the city to
gather information and study the situation in the district as part of their regular exercise.

The group of 60 RAF personnel marched from Attavar to Town Hall and then left to Bantwal, where they will stay till Friday July 27 afternoon.

The RAF team arrived in the city from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

The RAF is a specialized wing of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). It was established on December 11, 1991 and became fully operational in October 1992, with the primary task of dealing with riots and other cases of violence among public.

Rescue operations and relief measures are also undertaken by the RAF in times of natural or man-made calamities.

Nice to see them in our place. But show and posting pictures is not what we want. Increace their force and post some of them in Mangalore. After all, we deserve protection and not show. anyway, they look cute and our goondas will be alert in their activities.

Shanawaz, I fully agree with U. What about the recent incident of illiterate hindu sect, entering a resort, and beating and molesting women folk. They are the brave people of mother India, who have no guts to go on our borders and fight the infilteraters, instead of laying hands on helpless women. That does not mean, all hindus are bad. 99% hindus are good people and most of my friends are hindus. I sincerely appreciate the many hindus who condemned the unfortunate incident.

Nice to see the men & women in military uniform.Because of these personnel we are living our life hassle free. These men & women are the great inspiration to our children."March forward" was the last word used by Thennali Ram Krishna before his death at the battle field during war.We should remember here before giving any negative comments, when the whole nation is sleeping & enjoying their life, these people for our sake putting their life at stake. We are proud of you.You are the heroes in reality.

There is no Hindu, No Muslim, No Christian etc etc but for human interest and selfish needs we have divided ourselves into many groups. We are just human beings and for the 6 billion human beings we have just one God. Time people come out of their slumber. We are busy killing, attacking, dividing, absing human beings in the name of religion. If we have to accept and respect the power above us, then respect your like one's, respect your work and respect nature. That will be your prayer and the power above will adore you.

Nagesh Nayak has lost his senses and he is talking about muslims attacking hindus./. What a joke..
All his comments have communual touch.. He has so much venom against muslims as he has been brought up preaching it by his parents and by his mentor organisations.....He is talking about muslim attacking hindus and does not talk about hindus attacking muslims.... why so much hate in him....he is a dangerous animal in our planet...Whatever happens in Assam, he cites Italian hand and opposes it and whatever happens in 'gujarat he always support it because in Gujarat muslims are butchered...Some one should teach him the Geeta and vedas which says sarvajano sukhino bhavantu...

Where was this force during Gujarat Riots and present Assam violence. Is it an eyewash or actually they are meeting the purpose.
