Kundapur, Jul 29: In a tragic incident, two PUC students of a local college here met watery grave on Sunday July 23 at noon.

The incident took place when Anantha and his friend Abhishek were returning from town to their houses. As Abhishek's trousers got dirty with mud, he went to clean up at a pond located in Vanse, Kaikada.

Unfortunately, he slipped and fell into the water. As he did not know swimming, he shouted for help, and Anantha at once jumped in to save him. However, both lost their lives.

Anantha was the son of Gopal and Sushila Poojary, while Abhishek was the son of Narasimha and Girija Nayak.

What a tragic death? Both friends die together. The pictures by Aishwaria Beejady were touching. May the souls of the deceased RIP and give comfort to the bereaved family and friends. This is a lesson for others, never go near a pool or river or sea if you do not know how to swim.
