Mangalore: All College Students' Union Calls for Bandh on July 30

Mangalore: All College Students' Union Calls for Bandh on July 30

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Jul 29:
The All College Students' Union has called for a bandh on Monday July 30 to condemn the attack on students at Morning Mist Home Stay, Padil.

The Union also expressed their deep concern over the rising number of attacks on students due to moral policing by communal outfits. The attacks have jeopardized the future of students, a media release from the Union stated.

The Union also criticized the district Youth Congress for misusing the Union's name. "The Union does not belong to any party, but the district Youth Congress has been misusing our name. They should not involve themselves in student affairs," the release stated, urging the state Congress leaders to take action against the district Youth Congress.

Strongly condemning the attack, the Union stressed that attacking students in the name of Indian culture does not bring glory to communal outfits, but instead invites more shame and creates an atmophere of animosity.

The Union has urged college students across the district to boycott classes on July 30 and observe the bandh.

We dont need Hindu Taliban in coastal areas.
People themselves must catch and beat this unemployed hoodlums and crust their activities from the roots.
Fundamentalists organisations should be thrown out of coastal region.
We dont need C.T.Ravi, Shutter etc. to rule our region, they should be kicked out in the first place.
    Coming election will prove this.

Mr. Prajwal Mlore, only the parents have a right over their children and the cheap jobless perverts who go around 'moral policing' in the name of protecting culture dont have a right to tell these youngsters what to do. that is just a excuse used to molest girls.

We all should condemn such attacks. It looks very bad when it happens, but forget to keep track on the activity our own girls/boys do once they are out from home. I wonder to see the half naked boys and exposed girls. How can the society believe they are only celebrating birthday party by removing cloths they wear.? is it the way of celebrating of a occation..?. Society should educate thier own wards about the culture and the behaviour they should display in public. Yes, everybody has rights to behave in their own way, but in a acceptable way to the society.

If it is a rave party and were doing indecency, let the attackers show the video's, then act like an animal. What culture these uneducated people are showing, if they don't know how to handle the situation smoothly and well mannered way. They came like a strong wind and did whatever they want.

Now youth your duty, to fight for the justice and to give good punishment for these culprits. Suppose if government is going to leave these culprits, please don't allow them to leave freely. If government wants to give peace to its state, let them punish these culprits sincerely. Our youth have not done anything wrong on the Birthday party or against Indian culture. Let the government stop all the movies also, if they are talking about culture, caste, creed, dress etc.

Fight for the justice YOuth, please don't leave this case for a day or two. Our girls who molested by these attackers should face this world in future. Because of these uneducated culprits, their future should not spoil. There is no freedom for us. Our society is ruled by dirty minded government and culprits like these attackers. Wishing you All the Best.

Forget about caste creed religion, please do not allow these political devils to influence your mind in the name of religion......These guy's who act like protector of a particular religion, in fact never believe in any religion.Although I am against these Bandh's. It was birthday party and and when they were leaving, your mates molested the girls for taking advantage that it is rave like Malpe one organised by your mates. Are you part of such gang black spot of Mangalore! Learn to read and comment! Next time your mates attempt such molesting....bones will be broken by public!!

Mr. Jeevan, I think you have read only the caption of the news. There was no your so called rev party. The reason for bandh is clear "Union stressed that attacking students in the name of Indian culture does not bring glory to communal outfits, but instead invites more shame and creates an atmophere of animosity." This is a fair way of expressing their deep concern over the incident. Support them!!!

In 1993-1996 I was also a student in CCBM (MGM Udupi Premises), You may remember on 16 Spt. 1994 Because of the result oif the accident, we burnt down the bus to the trash and we were out of our clases for a couple of weeks. That is one of the cause that, today we can see so many changes in the trafic laws. Student's views are respected.
Well done students. Don't stop your all planned future programms untill the culprits hanged..........!

Though I am not supporter of any bandh, in this case I strongly support the Bandh. So students be united. Nobody should dare to touch you. You are the future of India. Show these hooligans your real power and if you happen to see these hooligans on the road, catch them and attack them. Don't kill them. Make them suffer so that they will remember this lesson for life.

Olden days this bus wouldnt have in service and burnt.. How come these molestation cases go un punishe by the courts? Appeal the virdict to higher courts asap.Do rest untill police / courts punish all these immoral policing thughs.
