Two Wounded in Jammu Scrap Shop Blast


Jammu, Jul 31 (IANS): Two people were seriously injured in a blast at a scrap shop in Jammu city Tuesday, police said.

Police said it appeared that the blast occurred while the two brothers were breaking an old shell.

The duo have been rushed and admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital.

Doctors said the left arm of Ranjit Singh, 25, was blown off in the explosion while his brother Manjit Singh, 38, also received serious injuries.

A police official said the exact cause of the explosion was being ascertained but "it appeared that the blast occurred when the two were breaking an old shell".
