Mangalore, Aug 1: C Manjula, chairperson of the state Women Commission on Wednesday August 1 visited Morning Mist Home Stay resort at Padil which has been the centre of controversy over the past week after HJV activists assaulted boys and girls celebrating a birthday at the resort on Saturday July 28.

"We will hold meetings with all the university and college heads, and guide them so that such such incidents can be prevented in the future," she added.

"Mangalore enjoys international fame in many positive ways. It is well-connected by road, water and air, and is also very rich in culture. The common man sees the media clippings and news and comes to conclusion and emotionally pass comments. The whole incidence has to be impartially investigated and truth should be ascertained not to go to by media news or political propaganda. These activists should have exercised patience and peaceful protest, it is not right on their part to loose calmness in such incident. They should not take the law into their hands. On the other hand, the society should know who were all there behind the victims who dragged some of the innocent girls to homestay for the party. The real truth behind the whole incidence should come out so that communal & political parties do not take advantage of this case.

I just cant understand y importance is given regd licence for the premises rather than the victims. It wud b better if they had visited the victims n see wat had actually happened to them the trauma they cant cum out. Don enjoy ur trip on public expense. Concentrate on wat the goons have done to the girls. Wat does ur culture so said indian say to deck up with saree showing half back n full stomach a sexiest dress as ever told is saree.

Just wasting time n money with the women s commission visit. Arise Mangalore jago v better go on international womens right n not on our state n central. I think v will b positively answered. The goons were the same of church attack, pub attack. Wen they r left out free wat will Mr Shettar do now serve biriyani in the jail as done earlier.

This is for you Mr. Mohandas and Mr.Rakesh Shetty.
I will tell you the Indian culture that I saw during the 70's.There was a Madaldha gadang near my house, written in Kannada "Shendi maththu Sharabu Angadi".I used to go there to purchase Shendi to prepare sannas for the family.I had to wait for a longer time to get the fresh and best quality. So, I used to sit in a corner in one of the benches and it was fun to watch.Men and women used to sit with a glass and a pot of kali or gangsara with a plate of marwai curry or nungel the chutny.

There used to be fun and laughter. The ladies used to be dressed with sarees only upto their Knees and without blouse.Though there used to be small fights among themslves with intoxication, I have never seen any goondas entering the gadang and hitting the ladies . The rest is left for you to analyse.
madam Manjula, there is no need to waste the time of the students or college heads by conducting meetings. The students have enough of teachings from their parents who are their first teachers. Besides they had the teachings during their school days too. Now they are adults and leave them alone
Try to control the goondas who were not guided properly by their parents or teachers if at all they have stepped into the school.

Instead of meeting with College heads she must visit victims and compensation and apologize on behalf of Govt for not able protect even after COP's presence. The trauma, which the victims gone through these days should compensated by WOMEN'S COMMISSION.

Is she looking around how to bail out criminals like her predecessor? Let police do their job. Madam, you try to help girl victims. Criminals tore their clothes....analyze their action. Home stay premises is out of your scope. Concentrate and focus on your job. Set a good example to your successor since state political party may change soon!!!!! Make sure people do not blame you when it happens again by recommending strict action on criminals!

The main duty of the lady Ms. C Manjula, chairperson of the state Women Commission is to help the Girl victims to file FIR on molestation, attempt to rape and other criminal offences as per the video footage. There is no question that judge asking these girls questions like when and where they were touched because the video speaks everything. Ms.Manjula should more focus on clearing off the fear and agony that these girls are going through. She should appoint some lady lawyer or a female magistrate to counsel these young girl victims so that they can be brave enough to lodge the complaints. Till date not a single girl has come to out and lodge a police complaint. Did she ask the police why the girls not lodge a police complaint?.

    @ Capt. Carnelio.
Madam Manjula is a woman. Irrespective of which party she belongs, we have to respect her. If she blames young girls for their dresses, there is something we have to learn from this. Blindly supporting 4 Ds (Dress, Dance, Drinks & Dinner) does not work in the multi-cultured society.

State Women commission is not independent of the state Govt , hence cannot hold transperent inquiry , it wouldnt be suprise that the inquiry report comes out like ' There were no women that night ' or ' No attack happenned ' like the one that came out of Church attack and Pub attack . BJP supporters have not forgotten the recent treatment given to its elected MLA 's while announcing names of protfoli's in Karnataka . Let this part come to Power over and over till this caring culture is destroyed as every one views this as incident seprate from the State Admin . And people to feel the Ladies were Semi - Nude , what do you have to say the goons pulling out thier jackets / tops to expose them , i hope you wouldnt have any answer to it

Fail to understand the purpose of the visit to the 'venue' now. Was there a re-enactment of scenes ?
Believe me nothing can come near the original which we saw almost live! The proper procedure would be to dwell on the course of action to be taken setting a precedent so that such instances would never occur in future...

Now she is here to focus on the main issue, why she has to visit the resort, it is legal or illegal is the problem of of MCC and the owner of the resort. This lady will make a wrong report like one lady i dont remeber her name with saffron saree made during pub attach saying that pub had no license, what is the relation between no license and the attack, what a joke.

It is better to send her back home packed. What has she come to do? Is she really qualified to probe such incidents? I am sure she is a BJP and Sanga Parivar agent and will give a report favoring the HJV activists. Not possessing a valid license is not a reason (or license given) for the activists to enter someone’s premises and beat-up the guys.

Dear Manjula Madam, in the interest of Women, please advice female students of colleges, never to attent any parties which support immoral activities as drinking, drugs or nudity. Proper advice is needed for the female students, about disadvantage of their presence, safety & other aspects. Insist female students of importance of education & not their rights for presence in such immoral activities. Insist female folk that they are stem of society & not customers of immoral activities.
