Mangalore, Aug 6:
Vasudeva Bhat, convener of Hindu Yuva Sene on Monday August 6 said that Naveen Soorinje, a reporter with a Kannada news channel who was booked in the July 28 resort attack case, had wrongly accused corporator Mohan Padil and the police of being drunk at the time of the incident. Soorinje had levelled the allegations on television show ‘Satyameva Jayate’.

Bhat told reporters that Mohan Padil has been active in social and religious activities for the last 23 years. "Having seen him handling various responsibilities, the people in the area elected him as their corporator. He is a devotee of Ayyappa Swamy and goes to Ayyappa Swamy Sannidhi every year," he said.

He further said, "On the day of the attack, a few young boys and girls were engaged in ‘masti’ in the name of birthday party, and Mohan Padil who was preparing to go to Ayyappa Swamy temple was informed of the raid. The incident took place in his area limits, and being a corporator he went to the spot to check," he explained.

"However, police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the crowd, and this was opposed by Mohan Padil. The police went on to pull Mohan's shirt collar and took him in their jeep even though he told them that he was the corporator," he said.

Bhat added that after three days of the incident, Naveen Soorinje on a TV show wrongly blamed the corporator and the police of being drunk at the time of the incident. "Though a few other TV channels did broadcast the real version of the incident, Kasturi channel presented the news in such a way as to harm Mohan's reputation," he alleged.

Bhat urged the authorities to take stringent action on Naveen Soorinje.

Hindu Yuva Sene leaders Yashodhara Chowta Ekkur, Padmanabha Navur, Anand Saripalla, Mohan Nuji among others were present.

There is one saying in Kannada " Naanu Hodeda haage maduthene neenu attha haage maadu". Why these outfits require a press conference one by one. Their own dream government is in power. They can influence any action as they desire. It is a clear indication that they do not have any case or merit in the incident. More they cry more mud will be spilled on their mouth. Whole world knows and watching the talibanic act in You Tube.

They are angry at TV Reporter because due to the actual visuals he had in his Camera the Police and the Politicians could not twist the facts and say that girls were not beaten. If TV reporter would not have been there then surely they would have twisted the facts and planted entirely different stories for the consumption of gullible public and gotten away with the ghastly crime. All should support the TV Reporter for his courage and candidness.

He joined underworld, killed 4 people near Vashi Bridge and became a Don. Returned to Karnataka & started this Hindu Yuva Sene and finally died in an encounter. Wow !!another outfit up in the arms! Why Naveen soorinje, press reporter to be prosecuted? He did call the police and it was on record. Is it for the reason he criticized police for not taking action against perpetrator in the spot? What he said is absolutely correct and in this effect he gave interviews to the visual Medias which is circulating in social medias. He directly accused police hand in glove with such Senas for a quite long time.He exposed Sanghparivars nexus with police force. If your org found any offence go to court of law.He even told the media that he was happy for fixing him in the case by DK police and he will explain and expose further in the court.we have dozens of SENEs in DK and if every SENE gives 'PARAMANU'to the authority, then why we need constitution?

Who was a witness to the 'masti?' Please do not accuse the boys and girls on assumption.
As a corporator, he should not take any side till he gets the full information. He did not have full information because, he himself admitted that when he reached there, the police had already taken action. But is it not a fact that he had received Rs. 6,000/- from the Homestay in the name of Pooja? Why this amount was collected when the government had already sanctioned huge amount for the Poojas all over Karnataka?

Just because of that brave journalist we have this true news here .In the past many so called moral policing groups have raided the motels and hotels. They have beaten the victims and then taken money from them to cover up the matter from the press. The victims are helpless and paid ransom to protect their identity and the identity of the girls involved. May it be a consensual adults meeting in a hotel room or it could be two young couple having happy moments at a hotel room. Every time they raided they had a healthy harvest. Only this padil incident was a bad harvest.

Mr. Bhat, why u are not condemning the atrocities committed by the goons to this girls. Mollestation, robbery of gold, money, mobile etc. etc. for this your not ashamed.

The TV clips are not sufficient to expose the real truth. If the same thing would have happened to your daughter/sister, do u speak the same langugage. Goons can enter anybody's home by giving different reasons. Rock bottom they want money to enjoy.

Because this act of your goons has back fired u, now you are condemning the TV reporter Naveen Soorinje, a Kannada news channel. He has risked his life by airing the true story. Every citizen who are fighting for right cause has to bear price but rock bottom it is always truth will win over lies and good over evil. What one has sowed, one will reap.
