New Delhi, Aug 12 (IANS): The decision to form a political party was Anna Hazare's, former Anna team member Arvind Kejriwal said Sunday.

In a series of tweets, Kejriwal said a "malicious campaign" was on to show that the social activist was against the idea of a political move.

"Truth is - it was Anna's decision," Kejriwal tweeted. He said the "propaganda machinery" was trying to create a wedge between Hazare and members of the now disbanded Team Anna.

Hazare and his team announced their foray into politics after ending their agitation for a Jan Lokpal Bill Aug 3. Hazare later disbanded Team Anna.

    THESE ANNA'S PEOPLE ARE JUST DOING FASTING AND NOW FORMING PARTIES. WHATEVER THESE CROOKS WILL DO IT WILL NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCES AND EVERYTHING WILL BE A FAILURE. NO ONE CAN CHALLENGE AN ELECTED GOVERNMENT. THE PEOPLE CHOSE THE GOVERNMENT AND IF IT IS CORRUPT WILL BRING DOEN THE GOVERNMENT IN THE 2014 ELECTIONS. BY ANNA'S PEOPLE PROTESTING WITH ALL SORTS OF METHODS NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. EVEN IF THEY PUT THEIR HEADS DOWN AND LEGS UP THEY WILL NOT SUCCEED IN THEIR MISSION AND SO FAR DID NOT SUCCEED. THEY HAVE BECOME FRUSTRATED AND DESPERATE NOW.

    PUBLIC ALSO IS TIRED WITH ALL THIS NONSENSE GOING ON ONCE IN TWO DAYS WHICH SPOILS PEACE AND HARMONEY IN THE COUNTRY. SHAME ON ANNA AND ITS CORRUPT TEAM MEMBERS LIKE KEJRIWAL, BEDI AND PRASHANT BHUSHAN. THE UPA WILL COMPLETE ITS FULL TERM AND IN 2014 ALSI WILL COME TO POWER.
