Mangalore: Emirates Paradela UAE Scholarships Benefit 59 Students

Mangalore, Aug 12: Emirates Paradela UAE in collaboration with Samanvaya distributed scholarship worth Rs 3,34,500 to 59 students at Samanvaya hall in Urwa Store here on Sunday August 12.

Prior to the scholarship disbursal ceremony, Fr Ronald Cutinho, director of Samanvaya gave a talk on personality development with a power point presentation.

Benet D’Mello, president of Emirates Paradela UAE presided over the progamme and distributed scholarships to students.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Emirates Paradela UAE is proud to support children in their studies. He said the organization has been spending more than Rs 8 lac a year on charity, scholarships and various others incentives.

The fund donated by them was collected by organizing various cultural programmes in the UAE, he said.

He urged the students to contribute a part of their income to needy children once they begin earning, and wished them success in life.

Fr Ronald Cutinho welcomed the gathering and thanked Emirates Paradela for their kind service to society. In his brief address he said, "In the last seven years Emirates Paradela in collaboration with Samanvaya has granted 412 scholarships worth Rs 22,95,700 to 116 students, which is a praiseworthy effort." He asked the students to be thankful to the benefactors for their support.

On the occasion, four students who received the scholarships expressed their gratitude towards Emirates Paradela and Samanvaya.

Glen compered and Sedrick Menezes, cultural secretary of Emirates Paradela proposed the vote of thanks.

Grace Noronha, general secretary of Emirates Paradela, Arun Noronha, Rovin D’Souza, president of Emirates Paradela, Bejai, Ranjan Pinto, Oswald Valento, Raghu Pinto, Belinda D’Mello shared the dais.
