The bank has to open many more ATMs in each and every corner of the rural and urban areas so as to reach its goal of core-banking. It has to open many more branches as well in the residential areas / all commercially potent areas so that people of the particular area can be easily approach.

    Mr.Ismail K Perinje,
The concept of Core Banking has nothing to do with rural/semi urban/metro banking operations. It is connectivity with entire branch/office of a particular bank and for providing e banking facility across such banks who have CBS facility especially for ATM connectivity,NEFT/RTGS facility. As far as DK and Udupi districts are concerned every banks operating here have good ATM net work and doing well.ATMs in rural areas however have not any considerable presence due to high operating cost and low cash hits and may take time to overcome the teething problems.

Good news for customers but ATMs only penetrated corporations/ municipalities and City Panchayaths areas.Generation next is educated one and future is for E-Commerce ,E-Admin and E- Banking.Banks need to go deep in to the rural area with ATMs then only Banks mantra of CORE BANKING justified.
