Bantwal: I-Day Tragedy - Three Students Drown in River at Vittal

Bantwal, Aug 15: In a tragic incident three teenages drowned while swimming at Vittal here on Wednesday August 15 at around 11 am.

The deceased have been identified as Dhanraj, Praveen and Tilak, all aged about fourteen years.

As it was holiday on account of Independence Day, seven students including the Dhanraj, Praveen and Tilak went for a swim in a river near Kadumbu village of Vittal here.

Heavy rain was reported in the last couple of days, but on Wednesday the weather was clear, and hence the students went for a swim, it is learnt.

    May the souls of Dhanraj, Praveen and Tilak rest in eternal peace and give comfort to the deceased families and friends. This is not the right time for swimming due to uncertain weather. But it was God's will but feel sorry that young boys lost their precious life.

    Very sad and tragic incident...Parents need to take care teenager's movement very closely and especially during monsoon time parents should very careful about venturing their loved kids for a swimming in the lakes/rivers...

    Louis Kuwait at times parents are not aware what the children are doing it is not possible to keep watch on the kids all the time.Of course teach them good values,how dangerous to one to swim in the rainy season when water is more and heavy current.Water is such a thing it attracts not only the childern even the grown ups.Indeed it is very sad May their soul rest in peace,

    Every day we hear about such incidents still how parents allow children to go for swimming when there is heavy current in most of the rivers because of rains? No one was there near bye to save there life? It's so heartening to loose these young ones. May their souls rest in peace.

    Very sad...Its all about the nature. Even though the water in the river,sea is dangerous it attracts people especially teenagers. God only has to save such things.

    WHAT A LOSS FOR THE PARENTS & LOVED ONES.
    RAISING CHILDREN FOR 14 YEARS & LOOSING THEM JUST LIKE THAT IS UNIMAGINABLE.
