Mangalore: Fog Around Bajpe Disrupts Flight Operations

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Aug 17: Poor visibility, foggy weather, and early morning rains have disrupted international as well as domestic flight operations at the Mangalore International Airport, on Thursday, August 16 morning.

According to reports, Air India flight from Dubai, which was supposed to land in Mangalore at around 6.20 am Thursday was re-directed to Kozhikode, Kerala due to poor visibility. But Airport sources told daijiworld that the flight could land after a delay of around three hours, once bright weather permitted safe landing.

Even the Jet Airways domestic flight from Chennai to Bangalore arrived after a three-hour delay. Jet Spice was expected to land at 8 am, but could land only at 11 am.

Sources in Jet Airways told daijiworld that the Jet Spice flight which was scheduled to leave at 3.30 pm was delayed by four hours due to technical problems.

AI Express back on track

The flight was back in operation and flown to Abu Dhabi. It may be recalled that daijiworld had been the first to report about the harsh landing of the Aircraft on August 14 morning.

These aircrafts are landing early morning when visibility is low because we are ruled by uneducated politicians at every level. they dont understand the abcd of anything. when any aircraft crashes they immediately release 50000 rs for dead and 200 rs for injured. and the worse part is this amount can be collected only if u bring ur grandparents also with u. they irony is again we vote for these party to come to power. so we all are well deserving people. congrtas
