Kasargod, Aug 16: In a tragic incident, the wife of a US-based engineer from Padil, Mangalore who was found dead in June this year, committed suicide here on Friday August 17.

The deceased is Sushma (26), wife of Sachin Kotekar, whose body was found near the shores at Mogral Koppala on June 10.

It is said that Sushma went missing in the afternoon of August 17. Her family called out to her and on receiving no response, searched for her all over.

Finally, her body was found hanging in the bathroom. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced brought dead.

Sushma, daughter of Karunakar and Nalini, and sister of Nagesh and Pramod, had married Sachin a few years ago. Sachin has been working in a US-based company as an engineer for over a year, and earlier this year had come home on vacation. But just a day before he was to leave back for US, he was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Police investigations have not revealed anything about Sachin's death so far, except for an unknown car that had supposedly followed Sachin just before his death. As the family did not want to pursue the case, his death continues to remain a mystery.

The reason behind Sushma's suicide too is unknown. Ever since Sachin's death, she had been staying with her parents in Postadka in Kumble.

Kumble police have registered a case.

Dear Leslie, i respect your concern for human life. But this is not happening only in this era. If you look back in to history of war, decease, death always played a major role & definetly not for weak hearted. We are fortunate to live more peacefully in this era at least in India. Offcourse some unfortunate incidents happens b'cos of basic human nature like jealousy, greed, lust... etc

DAAL MAI KAALA HAI for sure.....Husband's death is pure case of murder but still not traced by police? The circumstantial evidences provided by news clips has no reason to believe that Engg went for suicide.
