As soon the incident was brought to the notice of MLA Ramanath Rai, he visited the family and promised help. He said that he would personally meet the chief minister in this regard. K Harikrishna Bantwal of Billawa Maha Mandala promised monetary help to the family.

Ashwini Kumar Rai, local Congress leader, Ramakrishna Alva, Swarnalatha Malli, K K Poonja visited the family and assured their help.

To prevent further spread of the disease various measures have been taken by Rajesh, zilla health officer and Manjunath, taluk health officer. Blood samples of victims were sent to laboratory for further examination.

Dinesh Bhandary, municipality president said precautionary measurers will be taken to prevent further spread of rat fever. The surroundings of victims' house will be cleaned and 24 neighbouring houses have been alerted, he said.

May their soul RIP. Appreciated the late measures and assured help. We have govt. hospitals where the charges are nominal. It looks so pity. Why all these facilities are so remote to the poor people or why there is no such awareness among the public ?

Heartfelt condolences to the family members.
Sad news seems to be the politicians of respective political party tey do not think and fight to bring the improvement in health sector, but for the sake of publicity they offer monitary help as if they give it from their own pocket.. Dear politicians instead of offering monitary support have objective that yu people never make people to die untimely death because of lack of health facility and awarness...

Leptospirosis is caused by a bacteria called Leptospira Icterohaemorrhagica that is present in the excreta ( Urine and Faeces ) of Rats .The excreta passed by the Rats flows in the flood water and people walk on this water during rainy season and then the bacteria enters the body through minute abrasions on the skin goes into the blood and causes Leptospirosis whose cardinal symptoms are Jaundice and Fever with bleeding spots on the skin. This disease is completely curable .But ignorant people think that this is Jaundice and will do some Ayurvedic treatment which aggravates the disease .Simple antibiotic treatment at early stage can cure the disease .But prevention is better than cure .Hence dont walk on the flood waters without fully covered boots and in case you had to walk immediatly wash the feet with Dettol or any other antiseptics so that bacteria are removed from the skin.If you have any wounds on the skin get it cured well
