Mangalore, Aug 31: One look at 40-year-old Puttur Suresh Nayak and all one can see is his zeal in life. Afflicted with Down's syndrome, the marvel man is a holder of two great records.

Suresh, known to have an IQ level of 22 which is way below the normal level of 90-100, met mediapersons at a press meet here on Friday August 31.

Suresh has his name among the annals of the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records, for the world's longest tongue which measures up to 10 cm in length.

In Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Suresh set the record for recalling 518 telephone numbers in one hour and 12 minutes. The feat has been included in the Limca Book of Records.

Another unique feature is Suresh’s hand which has the middle and ring fingers conjoined along with extra lifelines.

Although he has a lower IQ level, Suresh holds four different world records all set in a single year.

He is currently employed as a telephone operator at Sri Ram Shares, Puttur.

Doctors have diagnosed his mental age to be that of a 3.6-year-old and his social age to be of a 6.6-year-old.

He spent 13 years of his life training at the Asha Nilaya Special School, Udupi.

Umesh Nayak, his brother was also present at the press meet. Suresh showcased a few of his talents before the media.

Reason of this Record: Every one is challenged by one or other way, Suresh is mentally challenged, some one is memorably challenged, some one is Visually Challenged, and some one is financially challenged.
Every mentally challenged person has one or other talent in them, identify it, help them to grow with it and Shine. Don’t hide such people from the society, confining them within four walls. Allow them to go out, make them mingle with others & overcome their inferiority. Don’t feel bad to identify them as your family member. If you treat them properly, one day will come when you will feel proud to be a member of his family because of his extraordinary talent. Normal Children Grow up with their age but these people remain child irrespective of their growing age, also treat others like a child and make them happy.

I would like to congratulate Mr. Suresh Nayak for his achievements in life despite of his disabilities. Also all the credit for this goes to Mr. Umesh Nayak, by supporting him all the time. I personally know both for many years and its not an easy task Mr. Umesh to bring him up to this level. It was all because of the special care taken by Mr. Umesh. I wish good luck for Mr. Suresh and lets hope for more in the coming days.. and Suresh will be an inspiration for those specially challenged and they can also prove something to this world.
