Kindly note it is not PANAJI-bound Jet Airways flight. The GOA Airport is Located in DabOlim near Vasco-Da-Gama City and not in PANAJI.Those flights (which took off from Mumbai airport) landed in Mangalore airport due to bad weather in Dabolim, near VASCO City and not in Panaji 35Kms away from Dabolim.

Jossey Saldanha, don't be pesimistic, but look with wide angle. Why cant we pressure Central Govt. to provide more advanced equipments & best technics for Mangalore Airport. If you look at the top 10 dangerous Airports, Mangalore is much better. Except for the reason of risk of being in hill top, & at cloudy weather, its OK. Necessity is that it should upgraded with international technques & equipments timely.

Though we remember the incident of 22nd May while landing, but as a regular traveler, I feel safer than before since all Pilots takes utmost care when they approaching Mangalore Airport for Landing. In the normal circumstances before that flight crash incident, they used to land even with minimum 50 meters visibility during fog condition, but now they increased visibility condition to be in safer side for 100 meters, else they will take us to Kozhikode airport without any second thoughts. People should also understand that so far in the history of Civil and Marine Aviations, no second incidents happen for same reason

I am sure most of the passengers would have pulled out their rosaries and mala's before landing at Mangalore.
