Mangalore, Sep 2:
In a heart-rendering incident reported on Sunday September 2 morning, house belonging to Padil resident Lingappa Achary collapsed, plunging the family into distress. The total loss is yet to be estimated.

It is learnt that at around 9.15 am, Geetha Achary, wife of Lingappa Achary was preparing food in the kitchen of their house located in Veeranagar in Padil, when the roof and the wall collapsed all of a sudden.

Luckily Geetha escaped unhurt. Linagappa Achary had gone out to buy groceries from a shop.

The house was built about 40 years ago and due to incessant rains, the wall was damaged.
Lingappa Achary is a carpenter. The incident has left the couple shelterless and distressed. Geetha Achary has temporarily moved to her mother’s house near Padil. The couple's son Sudarshan (24) is mentally ill and had to stop working a few years ago, thus pushing the family into deeper dilemma.

Geetha rolls bidis and supports her husband with her small earnings. Geetha being also a member of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala self-help groups, some help is anticipated.

Corporator Sudhir Kannur visited their house. However, efforts to contact him later went in vain.

For those who wish to help the family details are given below:

Mr. J. Sunny, for us, what our right hand gives, left hand should not know. That is a different story. Another obstacle is, if we go to help, what is the guarantee that some illiterate members of jobless senas will not accuse us of attempted conversion ? Thank God, few of them are caged and Mangalore is peaceful since their arrest.

Instead of always asking for financil aid why not the young and dynamic men of Mangalore do some SHRAMADANA (used to happen during our younger days)and build a roof for the deceased family, of course with the guidence of some intellectuals (wouldnt mention), thank you.....let us bring back our culture of helping each other and spreading peace and harmony...long live Mangalore.

krishna, Malpe, Peter Pereira, Pune, KIRAN, MANGALORE even you can come forward and help those needy people if you are a human being or true Indian. If you are doing anything good really appreciated otherwise shut your mouth before advising others.

@ Rajesh Gonsalves, Mangalore / Cairo you dont have to advise anything to our corportor Mohan Anna. He is a very good person and helps needy people irrespective of caste and religion, but your paid media channels are not ready to disclose good things done such people.

May God protect them. One is right in calling the ...outfits/ groups /other individual... to come to help the deceased family but think once from your heart you are provoking yourself using this sad incident. Charity shall be done in secret & silence whether right or wrong and not by passing/pointing to others. It is always a blessing to do Good and looking at that the eyes of wrong ones may open one day.

This is a golden opportunity for HJV, B Dal, RSS to demonstrate their love and affection towards their Brothers and Sisters. BJP state Govt and local Corporator must rush help to this family. KP Prabhu, Nagesh Nayak, Rakesh Sheety, Dinesh Pujari instead of commenting rush aid to the Bank account. If I can do it Why not you ?

Though the report is on the distressed family many commentators using the forum for Hindu bashing is shameful. This may happen with anybody. In another page we read various aspects of Quran, bible by its followers.
There is a culture called"fly culture" means a fly does not known the difference of "naivedhya" ot"human excreta" but simply sits on both.It its usual habit. Many comments are of the said category.

Dear Readers, If you can help please help, otherwise do not tease or take the advantage of this disaster to make mark on ther incident. Today we may be in comfort zone to think like this, who knows the second later what is awaiting. we need to be thankful to almighty for giving an opportunity to breath second by second. This kind of thing can happen to any one in different formats. God may give them courage to face this.

Please do not use this article to settle scores with Hindu's , if you cannot contribute please refrain from using wrong words , this family is in distress , why do we need HJV and BD to help them , can't we as good citizens . As a devout christian Lord Jesus has asked me to help the needy and i am going to do so for this family , Request others too come forward and share 1/10th of your earning to this family as this is the months beginning .

A family is in distress here, instead of sympathizing, people are talking politics. Every incident published, some people always involve political groups in their comments, even if it is irrelevant to the topic/incident!!!!

Sorry Sheela, when corporator Mohan Padil can collect Rs 6000 for pooja, why cant he take the lead here? If 22 people do some real social service here, this poor family will have a roof to live under.
