Mangalore: 'Grey Wings' Art Exhibition by Dinesh Holla Opens

Mangalore, Sep 2: 'Grey Wings', an exhibition of line arts by artist Dinesh Holla was inaugurated at Prasad Art Gallery here on Sunday, September 2.
As many as 36 art works based on Indian folk and culture have been displayed at the exhibition which will be held till Tuesday September 4.
The art works will also be displayed at a special exhibition stand during the international kite festival in Dieppe, France from September 7 to 17. Holla's art works which were exhibited in the previous international kite festivals were widely appreciated, and therefore he has been specially invited this year too.
After inaugurating the exhibition, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of district Kannada Sahitya Parishad said, "Holla has echoed Indian culture at the international level with his art works. He has not restricted his talent to the city but has brought worldwide recognition through his arts."
"In addition, Holla has created a platform for many young painters and has set an example to others," he added.
Requesting Holla to include an element of Kannada culture in his paintings, he wished him good luck for the international festival.
Chief guest Aarehole Sadashiva Rao also spoke on the occasion and said that the greatness of art lies in the fact that it brings people together, and Holla has done it tremendously well.
"Holla has brought young talent to the forefront and accomplished a great deal in the field of art," he said.
Udupi-based and member of Lalita Kala Academy Purushottam, Koti Prasad Alva of Karavali Chitrakala Chavali, founder of Team Mangalore Sarvesh and artist Sapna Noronha were present.
