Udupi : Awards Conferred on Outstanding Teachers

Udupi Sep 5: Some of the most distinct teachers were felicitated with various awards on occasion of Teachers Day celebration.

Kudi Vasantha Shetty, headmaster of Vishnumurthy High School in Kudi village, Udupi district, has been chosen for the national-level Best Teacher Award, by the Department of Public Instruction. He will receive the award from President Pranab Mukherjee at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Teachers Day on September 5.





















































Nandhalike Laxmikanth, Nandalike School, Karkala taluk won the state-level Teachers award and was felicitated in Bangalore.

Both of them were honoured during the programme.

Teachers from different school in the district were also felicitated during the 'District Teachers Day' programme at Shamili Hall today. Five teachers each from government and unaided schools were recognized.

The following teachers won the awards in the primary section: Mahabala K Mushi,
(Government Higher Primary School, Badakere, Bindooru), Kasturi S Shas (Government Higher Primary School, Kairabettu, Karkala), Santhosh ShettyMushi (Government Higher Primary School, Koorg, Kundapur) Shasikala G Sherigar Mushi (Government Higher Primary School, Mallaru, Udupi) and  A Surendra Shetty Mushi(Government Higher Primary School, Maduvana, Brahmavar)

The following teachers won the awards in the high school section: P S Higheridhar Achar Mushi (Srimath Boovanendra High school, Karkala) Roshan Bibi Shasi (Government college, Aladi, Kundapur) T Shankar Shetty Sasi( Gregari High school, Nada Byndoor), Nirmala B Mushi (Government High School, Olakkadu, Udupi)and HS Gansh Bhatt Mushi( Peradooru Government High school).
 

The following are the award winning unaided primary school teachers: Anitha Mogaveera (Assistant teacher, Sandipan English Medium School Nagoor, Baindoor), Neetha Kamath Headmistress (Venkataramana English Medium School Kundapur), Sr Adrian Serrao Headmistress (Mount Rosary English Medium School Santhekatte), Vinaya S Shetty (Assistant Teacher, Little Flower English Medium School Ranganpalke Karkala) and Flavia Barboza (Assistant Teacher, St John’s Academy Shankerpura).

The following are the award winning unaided high school teachers: Avinash Shetty (Headmaster, SMS English Medium High School Brahmavar), Ravishanker Hegde (P T Teacher, Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple High School Areshiroor Byndoor), Sandhya Bhat (Assistant Teacher, Seva Sangama Unaided Kannada Medium High School Thekkatte), Mohini M Nayak (Headmistress, JCI English Medium High School Karkala) and Subhodchandra Shetty (PT Teacher, Mahalaxmi High School Uchila).

S Dinakar Shetty, who served in home guards and sevadal was felicitated with Special Teacher Award.
