Sullia : ABVP Activists Assault Girl for Not Joining Protest ?

Sullia, Sep 5 (DHNS) : A Muslim girl was allegedly assaulted by her fellow students for not taking part in the protest organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the BJP’s youth wing, on Tuesday.

The student, Sahira Shameela, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Puttur.

According to a police complaint filed by the victim, she was sitting with her friends in the class when a few students approached her and forced her to take part in the protest against irregulatries in allocation of coal mining blocks by the union government. Upon her refusal, the students had a verbal duel with her.

Soon afterwards, when Shameela was returning home, the students followed her, pulled her headscarf, manhandled her and threatened her with dire consequences if she informed elders at home or the police about the incident, she said in her complaint.
Shameela narrated the incident at home and filed a police complaint.

Police have registered complaints against five students of Dr Shivaram Karanth Government First Grade College.

Students stage stir

As the news spread, Popular Front of India (PFI) and Campus Front of India (CFI) activists staged a protest near Bellare bus stand on Wednesday and demanded action against the accused.

CFI State committee member Iqbal Bellare warned of stern action, if the authorities concerned do not take action against those who assaulted the student.

Students who had arrived from Ninthikallu, Savanur and Bellare colleges took part in the protest. Police had beefed up security in and around Sullia as a precautionary measure. However, no untoward incident has been reported.

ABVP clarifies

Meanwhile, ABVP leaders, in their memorandum to the police, said the allegations against ABVP activists were false and they did not assault the student.

“A student by name Vijay went to the class only to enquire why the students were screaming in the class, when the said student (victim) abused him,” the leaders said.

The National Students Union of India and Congress will stage a protest in Sullia on September 7 (Friday), if the police do not book the assaulters under punishable offence, said NSUI president K K Hariprasad.

CFI will stage a protest at Jyoti Circle in Mangalore on September 6.

As far I know, nowhere in the hindu sacred text is it written that its a good thing for men have to lay hands on innocent girls. I dont know why RSS youth take every opportunity to lay their dirty hands on women. Maybe they see this as an opportunity to vent out their frustration (most are unambitious, unemployed and semi-literate), maybe this is what they are taught at home or maybe they refer to a bhagvadgita written by our dear Mr. Nagesh Nayak!

A few students are getting money from local RSS leaders to do this job. Even most of the students are unaware of scam. End of the day they go to the pub and they enjoy their weekend. We have to blame the BJP Government especially the Home Minister for soft on their Sangha Pariwar activists. Police officers has to follow what their Bosse's ordered them. There are many incidents which proves this such as Home Minister has first said that goonda act will impose on the home mist attackers until now no action has taken. FIR filed against Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, he is not arrested until now.Rather he was seen sitting in a VIP seat at recent Police Officers function. Now the Campus Front of India is the biggest trouble for them previously nobody has the dare to speak against them.

As long as RSS, BJP, ABVP, Rama Sene, Bajrang Dal, HJV is in existence, we do not need external enemies. These are the real terror organizations instigating and assaulting fellow Indians. With regard to these coalgate protesting students, they are the future goons of Karnataka. CFI, pls. do not stop till the dirty hands which touched sister Sahira are 'washed' clean by the law. If you want to oppose the corruption, lets start with Karnataka, it is totally corrupted now with dirty politicians. i am not against to oppose central Govt's corruption, we the youths must protest against the corruption, but this one what you are done yesterday it is a political game some one is playing behind the curtain. Just one thing you remember once you come out from the college you only to build your future/ career no one will be there.. the same what we are dreaming on these days, but later we realised that no one will be there to help us..

Students are going to the colleges to study by the grace of their parents who spend a lot of money on them. Why these students are bringing politics to the schools and colleges? In many western countries no students are allowed to participate in political activities. All the students association should be banned which are connected to political parties. If such activities are continued in schools, there will be groups among students and hatred among themselves will start and that will end in fights and even murders. Who is responsible for this. The parents should advise their children not to go for such activities. One more thing is that in India all the people are having the right to go for strike or otherwise. Nobody should force them. Goondagiri should be avoided in colleges.

What a shame! The politicians have left thier cruel impression inside the campuses of our educational institutions as well. A place where students are supposed to learn to live in a peaceful society, learn to create a world without the hinderance of religion, caste or political affiliation. These days educational institutions are classified as hindu muslim & christian colleges. Oh dear God save our country.
A word of wisdom to all of us. "Go to an you sluggard, learn wisdom from its ways" Stop it people, just stop it please, before you all ruin the delicate fabric, the oneness of our great country. Politicians are demons who are using you for thier own benefit. They fight in parliments and party the night together. We are fools to have any connection or be influenced by them.

Just stop it, stop being a hindu muslim or christian in your schools. Have the pride of being an Indian.
