Mangalore, Sep 6:
The DK district committee of Campus Front of India organized a protest near Jyothi Circle on Thursday September 6 to condemn the alleged assault by ABVP activists on a Muslim girl, Sahira Sameera, for denying to take part in the protest organized in Bellare to demand the resignation of PM Manmohan Singh over coal scam on September 4.

Addressing the protestors, Asif Baikadi, state committee member of Campus Front Karnataka said that ABVP has been sowing the seeds of communal hatred feelings in the college campuses. ABVP is supported by Sangha Parivara, he rued.

He said that ABVP activists assaulted the girl student and tarnished the respect of a woman by pulling her head scarf. He said that BJP has been maintaining silence over these issues and no action has been taken against those assaulters.

Imran Thumbe, president of Campus Front, DK district, Habeeb Mangalore, Sanavulla, Nazmuddin among others were present.

ABVP represents hindu and CFI/popular front represent muslims. Both are right wing organisations. so, both should be banned that way!! whoever assaulted that girl should be arrested. By the way that girl is crying foul now. she abused and slapped a boy. so in pure sense she should also be taken into the custody

What is happening in DK?? It won't be surprising if we have another Gujarat like situation in Mangalore. The main culprits are the politicans poisoning the minds of young people. Police and judiciary is also to be blamed..they look the other side instead of doing their duty.In many of the protest you can notice that many are not even students but some party workers..local antisocial elements.
It will not be surprising that very soon the DK district may lose the tag of educational hub,the district that produced many intellectuals etc..etc to a hub of Criminals and Rowdies. Parents of these studenst are also to be blamed. If you want to make the students study the first thing to do is ban all unions from the colleges.

Do we need any student political wing? Students union in the college is to address students problems and to interact with college management, adminstration and faculties. The scope is limited to the boundaries of college and at the most to the affiliated uniersity. If the students wish to address national or state issues, they should leave college or participate in the protests of other organisations in their individual capacity as citizens of India/member of the organisation and not in their individual capacity as students.. organisations and counter organisations are the products of differences in the ideologies, hate politics and devision. Students are wasting their precious time. If my son participates in such type of politically motivated show offs, I have told him not to come home and go to the home of those politicians who invites them. We parents have a more cautious, more responsible role in educating our children who are not mature enough to handle their own issues, let alone national issues. Education and parenting are two important aspects which has more responsibility. I am really saddened to know that dirty politics too has entered the college campuses. College managements too are communualised. Everyday new rulings on dress code is coming up which has never existed before. Colleges in the name of uniformity is implementing saffron ideologies in their colleges. A sikh student with his colorful turban and beard can attend the class, a sikh female student can cover her head but a male muslim student cant grow beard and female student cant wear head scarf in the college...Even communual agenda has made its way into the educational institutions. What a sorry state of affairs. RSS cadres have entered police system, bureaucracy, military, educations, public service. Its a systamatic effort by parivar to destabilise minorities..But today I say with loud voice that they shall never succeed. If they need success, further devision of India is imminent.

Attack on girl student by ABVP activists is a mere creation of CFI nothing else.Truth will come out sonn when enqquiry is instituted.ABVP does not have criminal record or indulge in such anti social activity. It is the largest student union in India which is sufficiant to know its credentials.
In fact CFI is not interested in education due to its inherited qualities.

Mr.Steve..for me Death of a person is painful infront of minor assault. That is quite natural, when someone doesn't join strike. We also participated in strike in our college days (though we didn't want to join).I am not supporting anyone and Daiji readers know me very well for the past 3 years through my comments.I have got appreciation from Mr.Shahnawaz Kukkikatte,Mr.Ismail,Mr Henry and many more for my very neutral comments.Sometimes my opinion doesn't match with their opinions, there were criticism when I supported Modi's development work. But it didn't effect our healthy relationship and it will not.I believe in PRINCIPLES rather than religions..I can't go against my heart.Thats why I don't like both Mr.Advani & Mr Manmohan Singh

Those who assaulted the gir,l first should ask their mother and sisters, is it right or wrong ,they also may support CSFI, so csfi also right to protest, if ABVP organisation really fight for studeunts demand and work for cause of the nation also for their own community students, no problem, but it should not disturbance to other community students,Indai is secular country, every indian know his own rights,so now people are educated, they judge theirselves, which organisation is better to live peacefully in society,
when this organisation started to degrade other communities,it lost its value itself, and many anti abvp organisation came into existance, but there is no future
to any organasatiom which not maintain peaceful atmostphere ,like ltte, ulfa, naxals.

It is a big shame, that we have a government who can not take care of things happening so boldly and openly. This kind of opposing is justified but only "NAGARIKARA HITA RAKSHANA VEDIKE" is in deep slumber. They do not get permission from the Police Commissioner....!!!!. Many have fought for freedom and died for the cause but today too we have no freedom... GOONDAGIRI,DADAGIRI,BADWAGIRI is common to few but many are suffering in the society because of this. students, classroom, teachers and books, these are enoough to impart education. do we really need CFI? ABVP? or any other such revengful student bodies?

When life is just about blooming at age 17-21, the political, communal forces, are hraming these young ones.

Ban ABVP, CFI or any such body, which takes to the streets on political, communal issues. One can't be banned without the other.

Allowing them to co-exist, is disaster.

The education pioneers of Manipal, Dharmastala, Nitte and Moodbidri, your silence is indirect support to the mis-guided, mis-used youth.
