Mangalore, Sep 9: Under the aegis of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, ‘Halli-hallig Beary Sandala’ (Beary Janapada Jatha) was flagged off by its president Rahim Uchil here on Sunday, September 9.

After inaugurating the programme, Rahim Uchil said, “The troupe will tour different villages in the region of Bantwal constituency, to disseminate the rich culture of Beary community”.

















Adding more about the campaign, he said, “The second and forth Sunday of every month, the tour will be carried out intending to reach the villages without limiting the programmes of the academy to the city itself”.

“The academy will reach out to the people in villages. We want to spread love in the community and among the people at large”, he added.
The campaign includes variety of entertainment programmes such as singing, duff (traditional instrument). Other popular artists will also join the tour, he said.

Academy members Ahmed Bawa Mysore, Abdul Hameed Ansari Mysore, Yakoob Kadar Gulwadi, AK Jamaludhin and convener G Mohhemmed Kalldka were present at the occasion.

Academy registrar Umarabba welcomed the gathering.

    Beary culture need to come up. I cant find any program toeards that. They need to make awareness about the beary culture.

    good programme by beary sahithya academy,it spreads awareness about rich beary culture, among beary community members, also it is need to find out ,why most community members not actively partcipated in beary programmes,

    Tolerance means to see beyond the insults because of being stable in the stage of self-respect. When faced with criticism, if we are able to be stable in our stage of self-respect, we are able to learn from every negative remark that comes our way.
