Udupi, Sep 9: "Just like a human pyramid formed on the occasion of 'Mosaru Kudike', I reached the top and fell down many times, but every time I fell, Govinda inspired me to reach higher," said D V Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister.

He was speaking after inaugurating special Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations organized by BJP, Udupi block here at Kidiyoor Sheshashayana Hall on Sunday September 9.

He urged everyone to follow Sri Krishna's example, lamenting that the society had become corrupt and money-minded.

Speaking on the upcoming elections, he said, "The election campaign will begin from tomorrow. We will put in 25 percent of extra party workers than earlier. A proper campaigning will be carried out by the BJP members to get support from the public, which will continue for over a month."

The programme will be conducted in as many as ten places by Mumbai-based group Govinda Ala Re, said Madhusudan Kemmanu, convener. The famous Suryodaya Krida Mandal team from Mumbai too will take part in the occasion, he added.

After the programme, Mosaru Kudike was organized in front of the hall. Thousands gathered to watch and cheer as the teams formed a huge pyramid to break the pot which was set at around 50 feet above the ground.

Raghupati Bhat, Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kodji, senior BJP leader, Sulochana Bhat, Monappa Bhandary,  MLC, Purushotham Shetty, Reshma, zilla panchayat member, Gitanjali Suvarna, BJP leader, Shyamala Kundar, BJP member, Suresh Nayak, Uday Kumar Shetty among many others were present.

Nazeer: I appreciate your community sense... I too hope the BJP celebrates all the festivals, and for ever the Ram Sene (the useless goondas who attacked girls) is destroyed by Lord Hanuman himself.

Rise n Fall are both part of any career Mr D.V.S may it be politics ... To give up after falling down down is the sign of defeat. So rather being a looser step-up n show them how efficient u r as a politician....

Congrats Hemanath Padubidri for the wonderful pics.
Thanks Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi, for the coverage
I think, DVS should clear the image of BJP or else join a progressive party with a clean image or float a party that will not indulge in goondagiri and social and communal strife.

DVS u are a big fool, instead of demanding party president post before resigning u started uttering party party and lost everything. You could have told I will dissolve the assembly if aim told to resign. But you are a foolish politician. At least you could have asked for president post before resigning. Now Murugesh Nirani will be the president. You won't get even a ticket to contest assembly election. Chankya nithi u don't know. Now ur position is like broken Madike cannot be joined again. Dhobi kakutha na ghar ka n ghat ka. You don't have any biscuits to throw to stray dogs. Already one case has been slapped on you in Lokayukta.

It is a pity that a good person was knocked off by his own party men. Next time, if he becomes the CM, he should take only clean people in his cabinet and give good government to the people. But with the present set of politicians and their followers, I doubt whether he will get the clean people needed. Anyhow, DVS is far better than most of other politicians in his party.

I used to like and support DVS.
Now he himself saying he always falls when he is at the top. May be hes vertigo problem.
I was disappointed when he, tamely gave up his CM post.
Does that mean, he cannot handle pressure?
Wish he had the guts to stay on to make DK proud.
Please treat your vertigo problem as soon as possible

DVS, You are one like Shri. A.B. Vajapayee, clean image, man of peace and widely accepted. During your tenure, false cases filed on Christians, who were defending Churches from attackers were withdrawn! you will grow stronger like a tough sailor who learns to take on storms. Righteous will always be strong from within.

    Dear Sir,
From day one since you became the CM, you have given your smile. With your smile you have conquered the State, won many a battles and have stayed in the hearts of people. Rise and fall are like two faces of coins. How you have carried yourself in your tenure matters the most. Everything else is trivial and part of the game.

before you rise, you have to make your foundation strong so that you will not fall. You cannot construct anthing on dummy foundation.
    This is a lesson.
Next time before you rise please ensure that you have built your foundation strong so that no yeddi or reddy can shake it.

    DVS,

You have lots and lots of crabs in your party.. each leader is acting crab and will not tolerate his colleague going up and will pull his leg from behind....But one thing they can be match for your binaca smile.. they never smile and always cry but you never cry but always smile... keep it up again one day you will be on top and pullers will suffer heart attack or paralysis stroke.
