Udupi: Foundation Stone Laid for Renovation of Katapady Vishwanatha Temple

Udupi, Sep 10: Brahmashree Prakashananda Swamiji of Shivagiri Math laid the foundation stone for the renovation work at Vishwanath Kshetra, Katapady here on Sunday September 10.
Speaking on the occasion, D V Sadananda Gowda said that the Hindu community is one that finds god in all things. It also treats human beings as god by respecting them. The Hindu community is built mainly on the principles of Brahma Shree Narayan Guru Swamiji, he said.
DVS also briefed on the present situation in the society. He said one has become greedy by giving importance only to money. Thus there is no respect for human beings without which peace and unity cannot prevail.
Unity and peace can only be achieved when associations work together for the betterment of the society and Billawa Samaja of the temple is a true example for it, he added.
On the occasion, DVS offered ‘Musti Kanike’ to Rajgopura. MP Jayaprakash Hegde inaugurated the science bulletin, while Katapady Shankar Poojary, ZP president inaugurated the temple website and MLA Lalaji R Mendon inaugurated the steam system. Jaya C Suvarna, president of National Billawa Mahamandala presided.
Raghupati Bhat, Udupi MLA, Vinaykumar Sorake, Sriram, managing director of Kudroli temple, Ashok M Suvarna, Vasanth V Salian, president of renovation committee, Harishchandra Amin, Satyananda Theertha Swamiji of Shivagiri Math, Geethanjali Suvarna, Rajesh Thantri, Mahesh Puduval, Shrikar Anchan among others were present.
