The christian community needs a MLA who would protect interest of the community. The candidate need not be a christian,he may be hindu, jain or any other religion. We have seen our many hindu leaders supported us when we were in need. Hence we need a candidate who is secular in mind, and action.

    Dear Friends,
Mr. Lobo might have met the minority minister but he has a majority mindset. Ask anyone about how he handled the job while posted here or lately the Pilikula. Today, everyone knows pilikula which happens to be a local lanuist word and not minority one. He has experience and knows people in the political arena. Ivan has been chosen for his skills now JR will do his calling without much noise or corruption. Do not compare. LET MANGALORE, DK AND COASTAL KARNATAKA WIN THROUGH THEIR SKILLS AND GOODWILL.

Well done Mr. J.R. Lobo. You have proved that you are born for the people. Please continue with the good work. Civilized Mangaloreans are with you. Mr. Lobo should be given congress ticket for the next election in order to expect some development. I have heard lot of positives about Mr. Lobo. Ivan D'souza should not be given ticket. He is fit only for protests.

Well Done Mr. J.R.Lobo. Hope things move in right direction for betterment of our society and minority as well.
N.M. Mangalore, if Lobo & Ivan are not good enough candidates for Congress, can I contest and try ? Why do we have to pull in Politics in every article, I dont understand. Let us admit all political parties are equally good and equally bad too.
Almost all piliticians are corrupt, small ones in small scale & big wigs in big scale. Isnt it a bitter truth of our country?
If. Lobo is taking an initiative towards development, why dont we appreciate it than down grade it?
Come on grow up in your thoughts..

Mangalorean Catholics are atleast well organized and financially well off. But Majority of Mangaloreans do not know that there are large number of Konkani speaking Catholics in Belgaum district mainly in Khanapur taluk, which is just 25 Km from Goa border. But they are all financially poor , semi-literate, and unorganized. They have no proper local leader. Since Konkani language is closer to Marathi language the Belgaum Catholics are inclined towards Marathi (M.E.S) which has isolated them from Politics of Karnataka. Since there is Military Cantonment (Maratha Light Infantry) in Belgaum there is Anglo-Indian and Portuguese-Indian community too in Belgaum City who have no proper leaders. Therefore Mangalore Catholic leaders should look at Minority Development works at Belgaum district also.

Fact is no matter how hard J R Lobo or Ivan D'souza tries none has the potential to win from Mangalore city constituency.

D'souza & Lobo are 'hollow' candidates in politics. If Congis want to put upa fight then they should think of putting up a leader with mass appeal like Sorake or Ballal.

    Congratulation Mr. Lobo,
Like the Solar and wind energy.
God has blessed India with enormous and plentiful resources.
Now get into action by first educating the masses the impotence of water ex: in Israel -hardly any water yet they export Agriculture and farm produce -how and why?
What ever you do -let us do it scientifically -involve the experienced and practical engineers- Use aerial mapping facilities- use Google earth etc.
    Now :
Tap the water from the source /origin before it goes underground to the sea.
Tap at intervals thru clean and neat small dams.
    Use the water channels extensively.
You need the help of Army and the navy for this purpose.
Water harvesting and collection - Bore wells should be introduced but scientifically done.
Use drip irrigation system to manage water for agriculture.
Ask the agricultural/engineering colleges to evolve revolutionary techniques -engage the brains - scientist -engineers - practical agriculturists bring them together
Develop Pili kula into a paradise.
Let every school in the district with their children come there once a month to plant trees.
    Make provision.-Establish A TREE FESTIVAL.
Engage ex- naval personnel for safety and security of the waters and the transport systems there.
Plant all exotic annuals- perennials-herbs -shrubs -trees etc.
Conduct flower and farm exhibitions .
Let there be shows- competition for flower arrangements/ bouquets .
    Introduce Bonsai.
Indoor and outdoor landscaping also hard landscaping.etc.
Mineral water bottling plant also can be established and the profits to develop the area.
Start horticulture- Floriculture- in some area as complimenting.to this pilikula complex.
Establish a convention center to conduct seminars - audio-video shows.
Like the Disneyland - business men should establish some sports and games activities -for the place to be vibrant.
Most of all there should be absolute discipline -cleanliness- .
Put all the perspective -plans - and make it happen.

WHAT IS MINORITY AND MAJORITY IN INDIA. INDIA BOAST 1,200,000,000 MEANS 1.2 BILLION POPULATION THOUGH ITS OVER POPULATED, BUT WITHOUT ME THE NUMBER CANNOT BE TRUE BECAUSE IF I AM A MINORITY, THE POPULATION WILL BE 1 LESS. IF I A AM MAJORITY 1 LESS THEN WHAT IS THIS FIGURE STANDS FOR. TOGETHER WE MAKE IT, THEN WHY MINORITY AND MAJORITY, WE ARE INDIANS FIRST. ITS ALL POLITICS, MINORITY RESERVATION, MAJORITY GRANTS, SC/ST QUOTA ETC AND ETC WILL ONLY GIVE KICK BACKS TO OUR LEADERS. JAI HOO

Great beginning in Politics Mr Lobo. Congrats. How thoughtfully you have discussed the Minority community issues with the concerned Minister. Mr Ismail Perinje. Why are you questioning Mr Lobo's capacity. To represent minority issues or development plans with a Minister one needn't be a leader. Even an ordinary person like you and me can approach a Central Minister. Of course you can question why other peoples representatives have not met the minister and discussed the issues.

May be in KSA you cannot meet that Country's Minister or member of the Royal Family. In India it is not so. You can also meet the Chief Minister if you want and have the patience. Mr Lobo is most welcomed in Politics by most of Mangaloreans irrespective of party, cast or creed. If given the party ticket for the next MLA election, he will surely win with an large margin.
Best wishes to you Mr Lobo.
