Kasargod, Sep 11: Acting on a tip off, Bekal police under guidance of sub-inspector Uttham Das on Tuesday September 11 conducted a raid and seized two kg of ganja, an auto rickshaw and Rs 4,000 in cash, and succeeded in arresting two persons.

The police team raided a spot near a petrol bunk in Pallikere under Bekal police station limits in Kasargod district, and found two persons with ganja in an auto rickshaw. The ganja was to be reportedly sold in Kanhagad.
 
The arrested are identified as Abdul Nasar (39), resident of Melparamba Kainothu and Mohammed Ashraf (32) of Kumble Pathadka.

It is learnt that Abdul Nasar was earlier arrested by Kasargod police in a ganja peddling case. Mohammed Ashraf is an auto driver by profession.

Police are interrogating the arrested and they will be produced before the Hosadurga court on Wednesday September 12.

    Ganja user increased,some using it as relax for tension,ganja peddler keep on
    selling it still they get costomer,if any stringent action is implement, can't stop it completely,it is very important to give awareness,and wake up students,youths and publics about its bad effects,then only some extent can controle it .

    Since our Govt always been soft corner to these people's illegal acts, so our Govt should give full quota of employment to this community's jobless people.....& i think it's the only way to have control over such kind of illegal activities.
