Dubai, Sep 12: Here's good news for the people of Tulu Nadu, devotees of Dharmasthala and well-wishers of Dr D Veerendra Heggade. The Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala has agreed to be present during the mega 'Tulu Parba' to be organised by Tulu Koota Dubai, a vibrant association, ably led by C R Shetty, for the Tuluvas in the UAE.
 
According to K R Tantry, secretary of Tulu Koota, the association is planning a mega cultural event featuring some prominent personalities from Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai and all over the world where Tuluvas reside.

The event will be held at Al Nasr Leasureland early next year, mid-Feb to be precise.

"UAE Tulu Koota, Dubai – a socio-cultural organization of like-minded Tuluvas residing in the UAE started in the year 1990, is well-known in the Gulf countries for its unique programme – 'Tulu Parba'. This particular event, much awaited by NRI Tuluvas irrespective of caste, creed or religion, brings back the childhood memories of every Tuluva. A makeshift Tulu Nadu is recreated in all its spirit, gaiety and grandeur in Dubai," says Tantry. 

"The organizing committee has already invited the highly respected and great personality from Tulu Nadu Padmabhushan  Dr D Veerendra Heggade, who had organized the first World Tulu Convention in 2009 and who has been organizing “Sarva Dharma Sammelana” every year in Dharmasthala. President of Tulu Sahitya Academy Umanath Kotian and a few other dignitaries have also been invited to grace the occasion and make the event a memorable one," Tantry says.

"Tulu Koota Dubai, which has organized a number of grand events like Tulu Parbas, Tulu dramas from Tulu Nadu as well as by local talents, sports and cookery contests over the past 22 years, is now planning a grand 'Tulu Parba' slated to be held in the month of February 2013. A grand scale event needs meticulous planning, hard work and great dedication which is always there in our members. They have already started working on it to make the event most memorable one," he said in a media release.

"We invite Tuluvas from all over the Emirates who are interested in joining us in organizing. Kindly contact the below mentioned committee members. We also invite all the Tuluvas, who have contributed in organizing the past events since 1990 to join us in organizing this event. "
