There are hardly any water bodies of water, big enough for "KAMALAKKA" to grow, in Udupi. And other places where there are, people do not want Kamalakka at all.
They find Kamalakka, polluting the environment!!

Mrs.Leela Poojarthi (BJP-backed) in Nalkuru gram panchayath of Udupi is where i hails from...The whole village was congress belt till 2000. BJP didnt even have the party workers for canvas. But now it is BJP all the way. GP elections are intensly fought battles in which candidates wins more on a personal charisma rather the than Political patronage. Mr. Pramod Madwaraj camped there with his followers for over 2 days during election and canavased numerous times in the last two months as he knew that bye election is due & he wanted to crack this time as last time also he along with Jaya Prakash hegde cavassed in another ward of Nalkur village for the bye election but lost there as well. This time JP hegde skipped the canvas as he knew whats going to be the OUTCOME...!!!

We want to live in a progressive society with communal harmony and inclusive growth that according to me, only Congress and Janatha Dal can do justice to it. If BJP will not reform and stop hating a section of the society, neither the society will progress or the BJP will have a bright future in this modern inter dependent world.

Writting on the wall should be a warning signal for BJP Udupi unit.Perhapes the result of Udupi Chikmaglur bye elction should have opened the eyes of state unit as there are no signs of improvement in its functioning.Perhapes BJP might have concluded that they may not another chance to rule after next election and all most all functioneries starting from Panchayaht/ Zilla panchayath hell bent on grabing oppertunities.
For voters the choice will be between "deep sea and devil" and Lokayuktha has become a mokery.
