Mangalore: Manish Karbikar to be New Police Commissioner?

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (PS)

Mangalore, Sep 13: As reported in these columns earlier, Seemanth Kumar Singh may soon be vacating the post of city police commissioner, and according to reliable sources, Manish Karbikar will be taking his place.

Seemanth Kumar Singh is currently in London on a training.

Karbikar who hails from Chattisgarh is an electronics engineering graduate. He had served in BHEL for six months before joining the police department. A 1998 batch IPS, he has served as ASP in Bellary and also in Gadag, Mandya and the Rajbhavan.

Karbikar had also worked as Police Advisor in the International Peacekeeping Force placed in Sudan, Northern Africa, for one year. He was SP of Crime Branch Cell, Bangalore, after which he was posted as SP of Mysore. He has also served as the SP of Gulbarga. He is currently the DIG (civil rights enforcement), Bangalore.

However, officials are yet to confirm the appointment.

It may be recalled that Seemanth Kumar's transfer came about after the infamous attack on Morning Mist Home Stay wherein influential hands were said to have put pressure on the government to remove Singh. The government then sent Singh to London for a training with the Scotland police for a period of two months.

Welcome Mr. Manish Karbiker...Mangaloreans are generally well educated and well mannered. Only some educated communal leaders are using uneducated drunkards to play their cards in the name of morality...!!!??? Please catch these communal leaders and grind them to dust. If you can do this everything will be alright in Mangalore.

Earlier Police Commissioner SINGH did not SING the SONG of SANGH as rightly told by Shenava. So, he was transferred. But we trust that Manish Karbikar will also work without fear or favour.

The forecast of Daiji world has come true. Seemanth Kumar Singh's head rolled just because he was very honest in handling culprits of Homestay attack.
If SINGH had SUNG the tune of SANGH he would have continued atleast up to next year's Assembly election. 2013 Assembly election is very crucial for Sangh parivar. Hence, this Change of Police Commissioner to suit their agenda.
Sangh Parivar is also very strong in Chattisgarh the Home State of Manish Karbikar.
