Mangalore, Sep 15: On the occasion of silver jubilee celebrations of Maruthi Yuvaka Mandala, Ullal, the club is organizing its maiden beach festival at Ullal beach in November.

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday September 15, the club members said that the beach festival will be on November 24 and 25 and more than 30,000 visitors are expected during the two days.

Events like dance festival, star evening, beach games, food festival, kite show, and sand art will be the centers of attraction.

Deputy commissioner Dr N S Channapa Gowda, Yathish Baikampady, MLA U T Khader were also part of the press meet.

Addressing reporters, Yathish Baikampady, CEO of Panambur Beach Development Authority said that the festival will attract people with various entertainment programmes. He also appreciated the efforts of Maruthi Yuvaka Mandala in organizing the festival.

The dance festival which is one of the major events will witness 20 qualified teams battling for the title. The preliminary round with more than 100 participants will be held at Town Hall on November 11.

Oscar Award-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' singer Vijayaprakash and his team will be performing a concert on the occasion. The kite show will be organized by the internationally known Team Mangalore.

    Dear organisation please don't spend lakhs of money on such beach festivals as no one will benifit by such shows.Instead you can donate the same on poor sick people who need actual financial and medical help.

    A local Youth organization,MARUTHI YUVAKA MANDALA ULLAL's daring to organize the prestigious BEACH FESTIVAL highly appreciated.I think ministry youth services&SPORTS AFFAIRS and NEHRU YUVA KENDRA could support financially as the function organized by youth club.District admin and DKZP also associate with the clubs to make this festival grand success.Is this festival OK for MORAL POLICE ?
