Mangalore: Car Engulfed in Flames as Gas Cylinder Explodes

Mangalore, Sep 17: A car parked at the old bus stand in Hampankatta caught fire following gas cylinder explosion. The incident occured on Monday September 17.

The car belonged to G Mohammed of Gandhi Nagar, Ganjimutt.

Speaking to daijiworld, Pandeshwar fire personnel said Mohammed had parked his Maruthi car in the old bus stand area and then left to Suratkal.

It is said that due to leakage in the gas cylinder, the rear side of the car exploded, as a result of which the rear glass shattered. However, no major damage was reported.

Pandeshwar fire personnel arrived at the spot and extinguished the fire.
