Mangalore: Security Mock Drill Conducted at NMPT

Mangalore, Sep 18: NMPT conducted a combined security mock drill on board LPG Ship M V “Maharshi Devatreya” inside the harbour on September 14 in the evening.

The entire disaster management group as per the NMPT disaster management plan participated in the exercise including NMPT’s CISF, port fire service, pollution control team and all the port crafts.

Fire tenders from district fire service, MCF, KIOCL, HPCL with Panambur Police also participated in the mock drill. 

After the drill, a review meeting was held in the board room of NMPT. Chairman, Dr P Tamilvanan, NMPT appreciated the timely response shown by the different parties and suggested to conduct such drills at regular intervals.

The drill was conducted under the direction of PFSO of NMPT captain Pradeep Mohanty under ISPS code.
