Udupi: ICYM Hosts Yuva Sammelan

Udupi, Sep 18: ICYM Udupi varado yuva sammelan was held on Sunday September 16, at Perampalli Church Hall.

Fr Fred Mascarenhas inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. While Fr Romeo Lewis and Fr Alban Vardo ICYM directors; Sr Noela Menezes, superior Perampalli convent; Steevan Colaco, vardo president; Lancy D’sa, Perampalli Pastoral council vice president; Joseph D’Souza, secretary were present on the dais.

The varado president welcomed the guests and all the youth. Saritha Miranda, varado secretary delivered the vote of thanks. Roshan D’Souza from Kuntalnagar compeered the programme.

After the formal inaugural function different talks on various aspects were delivered by eminent guest Leslie from Thottam and Fr Naveen from Santhekatte.

Various games were conducted by Maxim D’sa, Moodubelle, animator Udupi varado ICYM, and Ritesh D’Souza, ex-president Udupi Vardo.

A variety cultural program was also showcased by the youth on the occasion. Nearly 116 youth from different churches like Udupi, Kalmady, Udyavar, Kuntalnagar, Moodubelle, and Perampalli participated.

Fr J B Sequeira celebrated the holy Eucharistic Mass for the youth.

In the valedictory function ICYM varado directors Fr Alban and Fr Romeo along with Maximum D’sa, Vardo president, were present on the occasion. Fr Alban and Fr Romeo distributed the prizes.

Rainath D’Souza unit president welcomed the gathering; Prima D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks and Ritesh D’Souza, compeered the function.

    icym udupi varado.... it was a grand programme. was lot of fun and the programme was conducted well... the good talks,games,skit... thumps up!!! we want more of this...
