Kundapur: Woman Critical After Car Topples

Kundapur, Sep 21: In a tragic incident, a woman was injured as the car she was travelling in toppled while trying to evade a bicycle plying towards the car.

The incident occurred on NH 66 at Mullikatte near Gangolli on Thursday September 20.

The injured woman is identified as Fumani, who is said to be critical.

Sources said that the people travelling in a car were returning back to Kannur after visiting a holy place close-by. While trying to evade the bicycle, the car lost its control, toppled and hit a wall nearby.

There were eight people travelling in the car, out of which three sustained minor injuries and were admitted to a nearby hospital in Kundapur.

All the people are known to be of Kerala origin.

A case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
