Beltangady: Poverty-Striken Siblings Murdered for Money

Beltangady, Sep 21: In a heart-rendering incident, elderly siblings were found murdered at their house located near KSRTC bus stand in Dharmasthala here on the night of Thursday September 20.
 
Narayana (61) and Yamuna (45) were allegedly targeted by miscreants for cash and jewels. However, they were poor, and while Narayana was mentally ill, Yamuna worked as construction labourer. She too was said to be mentally imbalanced, but partially.

Unidentified miscreants allegedly killed the duo by bashing their heads with a heavy object.
 
It is suspected that the heinous act would have taken place on the night of Thursday September 20. The incident came to light after the local people spotted the murder and informed the police on Friday September 21 at around 12 noon.
 
Sources said that the victims did not have any rivalry in the neighbourhood. Beltangady police rushed to the spot and investigations are on. Finger print experts and dog squad were also rushed to the spot.

    South was one of the safest and peace place now there is no defference between UP Bihar and Karnataka, everyday Murder, Rape, Kidnap, Hafta, attack on Clubs, Robbary, Cheating, Fruad, Tbhis is everydays Morning News, Police have lost thier Aim and Duty, Leaders after money, poor people no status, what will be fate of Karnatak after few year God only knows.

    I totally agree with Mr.Alban Lewis,Kallianpur/Bangalore.There is much more than to say what actually said/heard on the issue.Reason for killings of duo is not necessarily for greed of money but could be for their land holdings definitely.Even 5 cents land near bus stand worth few lakhs.
    It is up to police people to unearth truth....
    Very sad for two lives lost.

    There is something more to this than what is said here.
    looking at the status - both mental sickness which was known to people around and their very poor background,
    I feel as their place is very near to the KSRTC bus stand - there is a possibility ..... yes there is.
    In this news, it is not mentioned they were living on the street near the KSRTC bus stand
    They had a place (land) small!big does not matter.
    To bludgeon the two in such gross manner, there has to be another reason,

    I personally feel they have been given the freedom from all the suffering they are going through. This also could be the intention of the BIG hearted killer.
    Also looks like robbery is the last intention behind this murder.

    Police should act with ferocity and catch the beasts who did this inhumane act. They have no right to live anymore. I wish police best of luck in apprehending them.

    It is indeed a heart rendering incident and May soul rest in peace.Both are very poor and partially mentally weak!the deceased,Narayana has worked as Mahut and @ present remained in home as job less.Such kind of heinous crime is rarest of rare and perpetrators deserves capital punishment.

    It is really very very sad news.Big tragedy and heinous act by miscreants.Just for greed and lust for money poverty stricken siblings were murdered.In fact those who murdered are not human beings,they are ghost,vultures.What hey got nothing but two lives have been lost.Culprits must be apprehended as early as possible and butcher them like how they butchered those two innocent siblings.i pray almighty god to grant eternal peace to those departed souls.RIP
