Mangalore: Pratheek J P Elected President of PG All College Students' Union

Mangalore, Sep 22: Pratheek J P of Sahyadri College has been elected the new president of
the Postgraduate All College Students' Union for the year 2012-13.

The elections were held at NGO Auditorium here on Saturday September 22. Lawyer Dinker Shetty was the election officer.

The programme was inaugurated by Ganesh Rao, director, Karavali Group of Colleges.

Raghuvir S and Parikshith Braggs were elected vice-presidents. Karthik Nayak was chosen as the chief secretary while Santosh and Jane Shruthi D’Souza were elected secretaries.

Other office-bearers: Radhika Rani, secretary, Shafik and Ashwin Kumar Uppala, associate secretaries, Nishanth L Chowta, treasurer, Karishma Bangera and Pradeep Monteiro, cultural secretaries, Shabarish R Rao and Bharathraj, sports secretaries, Chethan Shetty, convener and Shiksha Diya, co-convener.

A grand celebration was held in the city after the elections. The newly-elected office-bearers were taken in a procession in an open vehicle.

Nasik band and large crowds added colour to the procession.

P B Harish Rai, president, Press Club; Anardha Arkula, businessmen, Kuwait; Suraj M Jogi, president, PGACSA, Nayan Shetty Mundadi, president, PGACSA, Udupi; Vijetha  P Sherigar, vice president; Uttam Alva , ACSA president; Gautham, Shefalraj, Ashwith Kottari, Nemiraj Shetty, Gururaj Yemmekere, Shashikumar Kubanur and others were present.
