Kasargod: Man of Mangalore Origin Commits Suicide

Kasargod, Sep 23: A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at a remote place in Cherkala here on Saturday September 22. His body was found hanging from a tree.

The deceased has been identified as Rasheed, son of the late Kasim from Vamanjoor, Mangalore.

The incident came to light in the morning and the reason behind taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

Sources said that Rasheed used to work at a fish market till noon and as an auto driver in the evenings.

As per information received, he reached home at around 8 pm and left home saying that he would return soon, but did not do so.

Vidyanagar police have registered a case. They rushed to the spot along with forensic experts and sniffer dogs to investigate.

Rasheed is survived by his mother Khadija, wife Zeenath and three children Rasiq, Rizwan and Rahil.
