BJP Shows Door to Yeddy Close Aides Dhananjay Kumar, Ayanur

Bangalore, Sep 23 (The Hindu) : The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party and its government on Saturday removed two key functionaries — party spokesperson Ayanur Manjunath and Special Representative of the State in New Delhi, V. Dhananjay Kumar.

Incidentally, the former is appointed by the president of the State unit of the party while the latter is appointed by the State government on the directions of the Chief Minister who is the head of the government. There is no official confirmation, as yet, on the removal of Mr. Dhananjay Kumar since it is widely stated that the State government has to issue an order either to abolish a given post or to replace the incumbent.

‘Lacklustre performance’

Sources close to the Chief Minister told that there is no need for the government to issue an order to remove Dhananjay Kumar from the post. “The post is co-terminus with that of the Chief Minister and he has now been removed on grounds of a lacklustre performance. There is, however, no need to offer any explanation.”

Dhananjay Kumar, a former Union Minister of State for Finance in the Vajpayee government, said he will call on the Chief Minister on Monday. “I have not received any Government Order and my appointment letter clearly states that I will continue until further orders. I will, however, abide by the directions of the Chief Minister,” he said.

Dhananjay Kumar was appointed as the State’s special representative in August 2009 by the then Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and had continued in the same post during the nearly one-year rule by D.V. Sadananda Gowda, who replaced Yeddyurappa .

Party discipline

BJP sources said Manjunath, who is a member of the Rajya Sabha, has been “sacked since he crossed the Lakshman Rekha”. In other words, he has violated party discipline. It is common knowledge that Mr. Manjunath recently spoke against the Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok, who is also the Minister for Transport. The resignation of Ashok was demanded on the grounds that he had mishandled the recent strike by the employees of the State bus transport corporations. A charge was also made that Ashok was hobnobbing with the former Chief Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy.

The two important changes, more so, since Manjunath and Dhananjay Kumar are considered senior leaders of the party, have apparently been effected to convey a message to the feuding factions in the party. Both the leaders are known for their allegiance to  Yeddyurappa, whose animosity against the party leadership is well known.

It's better to yeddy company to come out from BJP and form his own party.Very soon Yeddy will be sacked from Bjp.

ISMAIL.K.PERINJE, PERINJE-YANBU/KSA..the only thing you dont predict is brother that Yeddi is dancing to the tunes of Madam from Delhi who has a CBI hook around his nect and she had given him the deadline to split the party by October as Congress doesent have any other good reason to fight election in Karnataka by talking about their achivements rather that eating BJP's $#%t.
The sorry state of todays Karnataka BJP is because of three people, BJP who will be loosing most of their strong hold in Coastal Karnatka, Thanks to Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, BJP lookisng most of Karnataka seats thanks to Yeddi, and the main culprit among all is Yeddi's savior in high command Nithign Gadkari who has taken good Mota Maal from Yeddi during his flourishing days. Now he is caught in his own web. BJP which is eying for the driver seat in next parliment election, seems to forget that the 20 MP seats in Karnataka is needed for it to make its dream come true & this will happen only when the gangrene effected leg (K Bhatta Yeddi) is removed as soon as poosible before it spreads to the whole body. Their only concern in Ligaayat backlash if they throw Yeddi themselves & waiting for him to resign himself as his plot is public now. However, each Month BJP sheilds Yeddi, its 10 seats - for them in the parliment election, as keeping him they do not have moral right to question the ever corrupt UPA govt when they have big Hole in their home made DOSA(Yeddi). Am not sure if the removal of these to Yeddi's Bhattangi's is the starting phace of treating the cancer, but I believe the cancer is already reaching final stages.

It is good that Dhananjaya Kumar was kicked out from his Delhi Post. It was sheer waste of Public money on his Salary & Perks. He used to do Chamchagiri of Yeddy because Yeddy had helped him a lot in his Business at Bengaluru which was running at loss earlier but after Yeddy came to power it started doing roaring business.
Dhanajay Kaamar (not kumar) should have been kicked out long back from party in 2001 itself when he tried to blackmail Actress Aishwarya Rai & family while he was Central Minister Finance (state).
He is also religious fanatic like P P Hegde.

In fact, such dramatic decisions are inevitable as Assembly election is fast approaching. It is clear indication and warning to BSY!This is a small beginning, and a message to BSY to mend his behavior else more actions are in the pipeline.Four years before I predicted about vertical divide in the party and then hardcore supporters of BJP taken me for a task.Eventually BSY and his team members will leave the mother party and form own outfit which might weaken BJP as non entity. In the eve of Assembly election BJP in Karnataka will become PERSONA NON GRATA...

    V. Dhananjay Kumar is a religious fanatic. He is not fit for a secular democracy. It can be recalled that in the recent past he had given outrageous statements during an interview on NDTV with Barkha Datt. He had labelled Indian Muslims and Christians as traiters and foreigners. First of all he is not a good human being and secondly he is not a good performer. It is high time for his retirement.
