Udupi: Hemanath Padubidri Bags Prize in National-level Photography Contest

Udupi, Sep 26: Ace photographer Hemanath Padubidri has bagged a consolation prize in the national-level photography contest organized by Sri Raghavendra Math, Mantralayam.

The first national-level photography contest was based on the theme ‘Spiritual and Devotional’.

As many as 116 participants were part of the photography contest, with 411 entries in all.

The first place was bagged by Sri Prasanna Perdoor, Udupi for ‘Bhajagovindam’, second by Sri Akhil Hardia, Indore for ‘Spiritual Speech’.

The early bird award was bagged by T S Srinivasa Reddy, Vijayawada, Narayan D Patel, Vadodara and by Sanjoy Bhattacharya, Kolkata.

Deepak Baratakke, Mumbai for ‘Om namo Sooryaya’, Hemanath Padubidri, Udupi for ‘Prasadam’, Vinay V Sequeira, Mangalore for ‘Vittalpindi, Mosaru Kudike’, V S Vijaya Bhaskara Rao for ‘Ganga Arti’, Vijayawada and KS Nagaraj for ‘Sankeertana’ were consolation prize winners.

As many as 54 participants have been selected to exhibit their photographs at Mantralayam from September 27 to 29.
