Kasargod: Man Arrested for Snatching Gold Chain

Kasargod, Sep 26: The police have arrested a man for snatching a gold chain weighing 1.5 sovereign from a woman here on Tuesday September 26.

The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Ali (21) hailing from Povval.

The incident took place near Adka on Monday September 24 morning. It is learnt that the thief snatched the chain belonging to Kamala with the help of a stolen bike and fled from the spot. Kamala immediately shouted for help. Soon the people caught Mohammed and handed him to police.

Sources said that the bike used in the act was stolen from Vittal on Monday morning.

It is learnt that Mohammed was involved in various serial thefts and was released from the jail a month ago.

A case has been registered at Badiyadka police station.
