Mangalore: Bengre Anand Amin Bags Gold, Silver Medals in Swimming Ch'ship

Mangalore, Sep 27: Ace wrestler and swimmer Bengre Anand Amin from the city bagged two gold and four silver medals in the 14th State-level Masters Swimming Championship which concluded at Vijayanagar Swimming Centre in Bangalore recently.

He represented Mangalore Aquatic Club in the championship.

Amin secured gold medals in 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke events in the group F, and won silver in 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 4x 50 meter medley relay and 4x 50m freestyle relay.

With this, he has been selected for the national Masters Swimming Championship.

Amin is working in Syndicate Bank's Mission Street branch in the city.

Amin has so far won over 400 medals in swimming competitions at state and national levels. He also holds several coveted titles of state and national-level wrestling championships and has trained a number of youngsters in both swimming and wrestling.
