Ticket Allotment One Month Prior to Polls : Congress

Narayana Swamy
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Sep 27 : The Congress party in Karnataka has begun its preparations for next year's general assembly elections to be held for the state.

In a general body meeting held at Bangalore on Wednesday September 26 Karnataka Congress chief Dr G Parameshwara announced that this time, the ticket allotments will be done in Bangalore, and not in Delhi as in the past. He indicated that the names of the Congress candidates would be announced one month prior to the state elections. He urged party ticket aspirants not to camp in New Delhi or hold discussions with the high command.

During the meeting he disclosed that the election manifesto was getting finalized, and that Congress would make announce it very soon. His party's top priority will be the development of each of the 224 constituencies in terms of power, irrigation and rural development, he said.

'Join Congress - Bring Changes' will be the Congress mantra in the coming days and as many as 1,974 public meetings will be held across the 224 constituencies prior to the announcement of the elections, he said.

Another senior leader, Siddaramaiah criticised the state government and helod JD(S) solely responsible for bringing BJP to the power. "Now people of the state have come to know the true colours of both the BJP and the JD(S), hence Congress is only the alternative to the people," he said.

"JD(S) is strong in only four or five districts of the state, while BJP is counting its last days. It is shameful that BJP has been criticising a sincere and honest Prime Minister like Dr Manmohan Singh...why can't the same BJP talk about its own leaders who were sent to jail, and those who are still in jail," he questioned.

"If Yeddyrurappa becomes CM again, then Karnataka will go bankrupt," he said.

You say so convincingly that Congress guys hold maximum deposits in Swiss Banks.
If you are so sure, Like Hiremath, you should also take action against those erring politicians holding black money in Swiss Bank.
    Why are you hesitating.
Just saying something here from hearsay is not good.
How much you have stashed in Swiss Banks Mr. Mohandas

Surely Congress is having tough time in State or Centre. BJP has some scams, but not like Congress. Congress hold a lion's share in Indian Swiss Deposits. Moroever, party leaders in BJP fight openely, while in Congress all under carpet. The underground fight is dangerous, & naturally Congress has a difficult time in next elections. Yeddi's scams are similar to S M Krishna, Dharma Singh, Kumaraswamy (as per legal matters as viewed by Dr Subrahamaniam Swamy), & definetly media has blown the news out of propotion, & Congress will not gain more on the issue. Again Congress leaders like Parameshwar, Siddhu are just day dreaming..of power....Only they can do is give a free entertainment to people like Pada Yatra, Press Meet in White dress, & just pass time...

Congress aspirants are happy they do not have to spend so much going to delhi to get their ticket.
They have already packed their bags and everything else is ready.
Now only to get "TICKET" and fly away to exotic Carribbean or places like that.
They still do not know it is a "ticket" for them to stand for election!!!!!
Same state of affairs in BJP too.
Akka in the picture today looks so sad, She says power situation is very bad and she is bent upon making life miserable to all in Karnataka with intermittent power stoppage.
This is the state of our political leaders \ aspirants.

    Dear All Commenters:

Whatever you may say, this is the Congress wave and Congress will get more than 180 seats in the election. People are fed up with BJP and also JDS, and there is no party better than Congress party and most of the leaders are clean. Victory of Congress is the Victory of the people of India. There can be no comparison with Mr. Manamohan Singh and he will continue another term. He is not only clean but also brilliant and highly educated person and India is proud to have a PM like him. May God bless him with long life to be a good Statesman.

Its the matter of very little time until BJP exits from power.Things are going against BJP. Ajja party congress so far was aiming at power .But now all are realising this Ajja party has no leaders.Everthing is going against for these 2 parties of state at the moment.Chances both returning to power are bleak.

Hope you have gone through the latest survey and most of the surveys have predicted the similar Numbers. INC will NOT cross 100 in next LS election. Inactive state Congress is competing for the third position and JDS and BJP are competing for the first position in HUNG assembly in 2013.

Congress can be defeated by Congressman only!I challenge here(BJPWALAS)that BJP will not get more than 50 seats if with BSY and if sans BSY,it could be even less than 40 seats...What are BJP's agenda?Divisive politics, encashing emotional issues of humans!!Do they have any constructive projects?Last four years what is their achivement
...Rape,watching porn pictures in HOLY PLACE(ASSEMBLY)bashing minorities and their interests,Golibar on farmers, grabing fertile land of farmers, corruptions, looting of natural resources and for that even our land also relinquised to AP!!!There are never ending KARBAR of BJP which were wring on the wall!!!Do people vote for them?I don't think. In this era of interenet, people will wiegh the pros and cons and certainly decide against BJP.As far as Congress concerned, there is indeed differences of opinioon which ultimately solved by Party H.Command.Unfortunately BJP has no H.Command and BSY is H.Command nad PARTY!!

Why are some more aspirants of CM's chair like Oscar, Moiley, Kharge & DKSHI missing is a million dollor question. Secondly its surprising that Congress is feeling pesimestic that elections are going to be held next moneht whereas they were all day dreaming it will be held as early as December this year. How come ?.

The Calculations for this election will be like this BJP =50,000 Votes JDS =20,000 Votes and CONGRESS will have 45000 Votes and If any other parties like BRS Congress or BSY forms seperate party they will eat atleast 10,000 to 15,000votes from Each BJP ,JDS and CONGRESS and make their about 30,000 votes and win elections .Hence a lot depends of the Vitue of candidates this time .If this is the attitude of Congress towards ion of Candidates Congress will surely sit in opposition
