Udupi: Prasad Raj Elected President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Udupi, Sep 27: Prasad Raj Kanchan has been unanimously elected as the president of Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The election was conducted here on Thursday September 27 during the annual general meeting held at Kidiyoor Hotel premises.

The other elected members are Diwakar Shetty as vice-president, entrepreneur K Balakrishna Shenoy as chief secretary, chartered accountant Gujjadi Prabhakar Nayak as treasurer, and Dr Vijendra Rao as joint secretary.

Speaking after the election, Prasad Kanchan said that more will be done to protect the interests of small, medium and large entrepreneurs with a view to create employment opportunities.

The committee consists of Suryaprakash K, K Krishna Rao, Tallur Shivaram Shetty, K Tulsidas Shenoy, Sudhir Bhat, Jithesh Kidiyoor, Nanda Kishore K, Kiran Shetty, Jayaram Suvarna, K V Prabhu, Ramakrishna Narahari Pai and Amruth Shenoy.
