Karkala, Sept 27: “Higher education prepares intellectual leaders and also enhances the technical competency with the developed countries” said Dr B Subba Reddy, former scientist, DRDO and Honeywell Fellow, Honeywell Technology solutions Bangalore. He was delivering a keynote address after inaugurating  the one-day’ research conclave “NMReCon-2012” at  NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte on  September 27.

Speaking on higher education and industry said ‘highly qualified people are being absorbed only by the universities and industries do not get them to excel in their activities”. “In the present scenario, the participation of industries in academics is most essential to fill the gap between industry and academics to provide continuing education” he added.

“To carryout research activities, one has to have self awareness, own imagination, independent view point and freedom to choose the area of interest.   Honeywell Technology solutions is ready to extend all its facilities for those who are having aspirations to do research” he said.

After releasing a CD on the conclave proceedings, principal Dr Niranjan N. Chiplunkar in his presidential speech said “An active researcher will shape the world and the researcher should work with dedication to attain the quality.” 

 “This conclave is meant for the progress evaluation of the research scholars and to get some inputs from experts to reach the goal on time” he added.

More than 65 research scholars registered to present their findings before the experts in the respective fields and to get further direction for the early completion of their work.
