Kundapur: Dead Dolphin at Maravante Beach Sparks Curiosity

Kundapur, Sep 29: Maravante beach at Trasi here was thronged by curious locals after a dead dolphin was found on its shores.

The carcass was spotted at the beach on the evening of Friday September 28.

The dolphin weighed around 100 kgs and measured around 6 foot in length.

It is believed that the dolphin may have died four days ago and that the carcass may have swept ashore on Friday.

PSI Sampath Kumar of Gangolli and his team, coastal security personnel with the help of volunteers from 24x7 helpline buried the carcass near the shore.
