Mangalore, Sep 29: In a possible breakthrough in the murder case of Pumpwell Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti president Ganesh Ram Suvarna, the police on Saturday September 29 found the victim's bike at parking lot of Kadri Temple.
It may be recalled that Suvarna was found murdered on September 25 evening at a house in Gorigudda, where he was staying during his visit to the city from Karkala for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
On Saturday, a friend of Suvarna visited the Kadri Temple to offer prayers. While parking his bike, he noticed another bike which was familiar to him. On inspection, he realized that the bike belonged to his deceased friend.
He immediately informed his cousin who in turn called the police.
Pandeshwar police arrived on the spot with a canine squad and finger print experts.
The CCTV captured the image of the people who brought Suvarna's bike, but as it was blurred the identity could not be established.
It is said that the CCTV image showed three persons riding the bike without wearing helmet. After they reached the Temple, one of them stood near the bike, another began talking on his mobile phone and the third person went towards the toilet. A few minutes later all of them loitered near the toilet before the leaving the Temple on foot. However, their faces were not clearly captured.
