Mangalore: Simon Lobo (39) Drowns in Yekkar River

Mangalore, Sep 30:
In a tragic incident, a man drowned at Yekkar river near Bajpe after he stepped in for a swim on September 29 evening.
 
The deceased has been identified as Simon Lobo (39) hailing from Permude.
 
Sources said that Simon Lobo used to regularly go for a swim along with his friends and two children.
 
He was an expert in swimming and was also teaching his children to swim.
 
On September 29 Simon dived into the deep river and was not able to return. His friends tried to rescue him but their efforts went in vain.
 
The body was taken to Wenlock hospital for medical examination.
 
A case is registered at Bajpe police station.
