Dubai : Tulu Mythological Drama at 'Tuluvere Parba'

Dubai, Sep 30: Nama Tuluveru UAE one of the charity based organisation progressing on their preparation for grand 'Tuluvere Parba 2012' met recently in Quick Bite Restaurant, Deira, Al Muteena to discuss and follow-up on the said programme.  The meeting witnessed a record number of members and as usual started with welcome by Shodhan Prasad who carried on the proceedings of the meeting starting with prayers.  Committee Leaders Siraj Ahmed, B.G. Mohandas, Sudhakar Alva, Purushottam Salian, Noel Almeida and Prabhakar Suvarna were present on the dais.







 

Programme schedule and other activities of the day were discussed with each responsible persons deputed for with updates.  The progress shows a good response from all the Tulu speaking people living all over UAE. 


Fr Marcel Saldanha


Due to unavoidable circumstance, Fr Ravi Santosh Kamath is not able to fly and instead Fr. Marcel Saldanha native Shirthady and Ex Parish Priest of Milagres Kallianpur has agreed to be one of the special guest. 

Fr. Marcel Saldanha is currently serving as Parish Priest at St. Monica Church, Kumbla and earlier had served as Parish Preist at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Panir, Derlakatte, as Manager and Director at St. Joseph’s Asylum Industrial Workshops Parish Priest at St. Antony’s Church and also as Ujire Assistant Parish Priest at Mai De Deus Church, Puttur.  He represented Karnataka State for long-jump and tripple jump securing second place and was also District Champion in both the events.  He has a past time hobby in agriculture and plantation.  Also with an interest in collecting old things have built a museum call 'Old is God'.


All other guests are already set to arrive by 3rd of October, 2012 along with the 'Kateeldhappe Ullalthi' drama troupe and "Saanidhya Special Needs School" children.
    

The stage is all set for a festival of Tulu Culture with enthusiastic members of Nama Tuluveru UAE combined with the strength of various Community Organisation members fully rehearsing for the event and getting prepared to present their community cultural activities as well as savour their homely made variety of mouth watering dishes to all the invitees the whole day.

Bhajiya, Charmburi, Biscuit Rotti, Pundi, Maalpuri, Pathradya, Patholi, Dhal Thove, Kaaydhappa, Kalthappa, Koli Molagu Charu, Thekkare, Kori Rotti, Kori Sukka, Marvai Pundi, Neer Dose, Chicken Biriyani, Meen Pulimunchi, King Fish Masala, Gujje Kadle, Ganghi, Balyar Chatni, Yetti Sukka, Idli-Vada, Kori Urwal, Meen Ghasi, Nungel Meen Chatni, Idli, Dal Chal, Samosa, Ney Chor, Maasadha Kajipu,, Sheer Khurma, Majjige, Bonda, Semige Per, Kheer are some of the variety foods served the whole day in the pay and buy stalls put up by various community organisations.


Tiger Dance will be one of the special attractions of the day including 'Yakshagana' ballet, Music Orchestra, Variety of Folk dances, Classical Dances, Daff Dance, Catholic Marriage Band, Fashion Show and many more surprises to take you all entourage Tulunadu.
   


Other than variety entertainment there will be release of 'Appe Bhaashe' Tulu Script and also announcement of a new Tulu Feature Film title which will be entirely shot in UAE various locations with local artistes who have been auditioned and selected.

Blood donation Unit will arrive at 3 PM from Latifa Blood Donation Centre, Dubai and will be there for 4 hours within the premises of the School for those who wish to donate blood.  Donate Blood and Save Life - a precious gift to the needy waiting to receive.  Save a life without spending money.
    
The whole day festival will start at 9 am in the morning and go on until 9 pm in the evening with Grand Raffle Draw with the event happening at The Football Grounds of Indian High School, Behind Sh. Rashid Auditorium, Oud Metha Road, Dubai.  Entry coupons and food coupons will be available at the entrance of the School Grounds, next to India Club.  All are welcome.
